Downtown Double - Amsterdam city centre

Fully furnished, spacious room on first floor of inner city apartment. Huge windows give plenty of light and a view of the hustle and bustle of the city. You couldn't be more central. The beauty of Amsterdam is best seen on foot, by boat, or of course, by bike. The markets of the Jordaan are just minutes away, as is the amazing new EYE Film Museum just over the water (the 5 minute ferry is free), the Anne Frank House, the Amsterdam Museum, and the bustling Red Light District. The space Wooden parquet floors, marble mantelpiece, eclectic art and furniture - a mix of modern and baseline vintage. There's a double bed, bedding, fresh towels and dressing gowns. The room is large enough to lounge in, with a small table for two. The facilities are shared, but the large (downstairs) bathroom is big enough - with an awaiting bath after a long day's bike ride or tour of the city. The one downside of an incredibly central location is that there is always the sound of the trams and the passers-by. I no longer notice this 'sound-track', but for my guests I provide ear plugs. Guest access Most of the popular spots are walkable from my place. But if you want to go further afield, several trams stop at the door (1, 12, 13, 17, 24). You can also rent bikes - lots of options in the neighbourhood. (Yellow Bike is opposite, and they offer bike tours in the summer). You can also rent electric boats, or canal cruises - all close by. Because the neighbourhood has plenty of cafes, and the biggest supermarket is on this street, guests usually prefer to organise their own breakfast. I have a list of favourites to share with you. During your stay I am usually here to welcome you and am often available to answer your questions. I am the owner of the apartment, so I also live here, together with a roommate on the ground floor. As a freelancer, I keep irregular hours and am teaching online from home. For this reason I am semi-flexible about check-in and check-out times. Other things to note The room includes: fresh towels, dressing gowns & slippers, WIFI You are welcome to use the kitchen and fridge (please store food in the fridge, or in the plastic boxes in your room - don't attract mice by leaving food out please) There is a small WC next to the kitchen, but the main bathroom (with bath and shower) is on the ground floor, where there is a hairdryer, and an iron and ironing board.
