Our home is situated in a quiet community with mature shade trees lining the streets. Parking on the street is very safe. There is local shopping and eateries within walking distance. Fairfax is a DC suburb, 15 min from IAD Airport and commuting distance from D.C. museums as well as many other attractions! The master suite is quite roomy! This room is bright in daytime hours, (light blocking curtains keep out the sun in the am), It is tastefully furnished with antique pieces, a full bed, roomy closet and a sitting area. The bathroom within the suite is private. Guest are welcome to use the kitchen to store food and do simple cooking. Guests are kindly asked to eat in the kitchen rather than the bedroom. There's a lovely deck and garden off the kitchen as well. For those that like to sleep with a fan, there is a fan available. For those with sensitivities, our home is fragrance free. (We utilize essential oils on occasion). Our linens and towels are laundered with 'free and clear' soap. We kindly ask guests to refrain from wearing perfume/cologne inside the home due to a family members' sensitivities. There is no TV in the home. The wood stove is often burning during the cold months! Please communicate any concerns as we want your stay to comfortable and seamless! Guests have access to kitchen and sitting areas outside. My schedule varies from day to day, but I'm always available via airbnb platform to assist with any questions or concerns. There are many places and sites to see, here are a few: a foot path along a stream w/in walking distance from the house Shopping and a wide variety of restaurants w/in walking distance. Library is less than a mile away. Starbucks is very close!
