Please DO NOT RESERVE before discussing with me. Eclectic mix of traditional and modern in this Victorian era home. I enjoy meeting people from all parts of the world and all backgrounds, the only requirement is mutual respect, consideration and a peaceful nature. Also see my other listing, 'Peaceful Safe Home and Clear Space. One of the few places in Bristol where you can still park for free. The space Two peaceful rooms available under 2 separate listings, see other listing, entitled (The Sunset Room) On this listing, a ground floor spacious double room, traditionally known as the parlour in victorian built homes, a warm and friendly home. An extra treat available of a roaring open fire, if you wish to buy some logs from the local shop, otherwise gas fuelled central heating system in operation and an oil filled electric heater in the Parlour room, if there's ever occasion for an extra heat boost. Free on street parking. High speed wifi. Good quality double mattress, ample cushions and pillows Egyptian cotton bed linen and Towels Pleasantly spacious room with a large oak desk with two drawers. Arm Chair for relaxation and upright seating. Ample clothes storage, chest of drawers and hangers area. Italian marble fireplace. Artwork and plants to add ambience and aid relaxation. Recent upgrades include underfloor insulation throughout the ground floor and newly refurbished original wooden floors, silky smooth and no squeaks. Newly upgraded double glazed bay windows, so no drafts. Nicely spacious bathroom with a good shower and WC. A lovely modern sunny dining/kitchen area, leading onto a sunny back garden and terrace, a sun trap to soak up the morning sunshine, listen to the birds, have a stretch and enjoy a fresh coffee or tea . A Sound Sleep Assured; Even insomniacs sleep well in my home . Free on street parking. I run true hepa filtered air purifiers in the home and have an abundance of helpful plants to keep the air fresh and clean, i use non toxic chemical based cleaners and cosmetics, all of which will greatly benefit allergy sufferers. Upon arrival, you will be given your own door keys. You will receive access to the (hopefully sunny) garden and terrace area, a lovely sunlit and airy dining area and kitchen. Undercover bike space upon request. Walking distance to many great food stores, cafes and restaurants. Train station and bus stops short walk. Bedroom doors do not lock for safety reasons, only regular strong catched style door locks. Guest access 5 mins Walking distance to good food stores, inc local quality organic and many independant traders alongside Tesco, Aldi and Lidl. Great cafes and restaurants and pubs in within 5 minutes walk. Local Public transport includes a trainline, buses and cycle path, easy access to City Centre, Temple Meads Train Line leading to Bath with the Capital City London only an hour and a half away. Parks, river and woodland all a short walk away. Inner city haven in a traditional multicultural community, on the cosmo, boho, rustic edge During your stay Often available to help with questions and queries other times I may be out of town, but a family member will be available to answer most questions. I like to try and meet the guest where they are, so if you would like to talk or need help then I'll try to accommodate that, but if you like space then you'll get that too. I like my guests to at least say hi and bye when entering and leaving and the odd little chat, it make for a friendly atmosphere, where we can all feel relaxed with each other. If your the kind of person who likes a collection of empty takeaway food boxes in your room and allows rubbish pile up, this probably is not the place for you, I'd like people who feel able to respect the space and keep their room basically tidy. You are welcome to use the kitchen at anytime but cooking facilities end at 8pm by which time the kitchen will be clean for the night. If you need help and I'm not home please contact me through my personal number and via the airbnb messaging service. Other things to note I am flexible regarding time of arrivals, that can be agreed on an individual need basis. All I ask is that you keep me posted and give notice and clear communication. I request that guests Do Not use perfumed scented Cosmetic Products, as I have an allergy to them. Apparently many people are now developing a reaction to these products , as they contain toxic chemicals (worth knowing). If you have any problem about this, I can arrange odour free alternatives. Washing machine for long staying guests, one wash a week included in cost, any extra washes require a fee or £5.00 per load. In order to keep cleaning fee as low as possible, cleaning charges extend to the whole house, deep clean, steam cleaning mattress and all furnishings, in preparation for each new guest. Long stay guests may change their bed linen and towels with the clean linen provided and all guests are requested to clean up after themselves until departure. Any further help needed then please let me know. I'll always try to be helpful. Current Photos need updating to show new home improvement, ie new floors windows and decor. If you keep unusual hours, ie working night and sleeping during the day or rising exceptionally early ie before 6am; Please contact me before booking to discuss.
