Flagstone Cottage has a lovely open fireplace and is on a quiet remote farm in Llanthony in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Wonderful mountain views from the cottage. There are miles of footpaths in these uncrowded hills, the only sounds are birds and sheep. Two pubs are in walking distance: The historic Llanthony Priory Cellar bar which serves delicious home made food and the welcoming Half Moon Hotel - good beer and great for walkers and dog owners. The space A delightful cottage, for two adults in main bedroom which has a king size bed, and two children ,over four years old, in a small mezzanine. There is a single bed tucked under the stairs in the living room if needed. The cottage is simply designed with old beams, stone walls and Flagstone floor. Built into the old converted stone barn, it is one of two cottages. It is on a quiet farm and has outstanding views overlooking the beautiful Llanthony Valley in Brecon Beacons National Park. It has underfloor heating in winter and a log fire to warm you after a long walk in the surrounding mountains. (Logs £5 per basket) The kitchen is well equipped for cooking your own meals. Upstairs there is a bathroom with a good shower over the bath. The main bedroom has a king size double bed and above is a mezzanine for two children which is accessed through the wardrobe and up a secret staircase. It is galleried so is part of the main bedroom. A bed downstairs in the living room can be used as an alternative for friend or child. The space is suitable for four maximum.(three adults, or two adults and no more than two children ) Dogs welcome apart from high season . Please note bookings usually start from Thursday, Friday or Monday. Please ask about different arrival days. Guest access There is a garden in front and back of the cottage for sitting outside. Barbeque available. There is a washing machine in another building which guests can use. Parking is just outside the cottage. Other things to note Wifi is available in the cottage No Mobile phone signal although Wifi calling seems to work. Changeover days are Mondays and Thursdays or Friday. please ask about other days. Well behaved dogs are allowed from October -March and not at Christmas, Easter or New Year. There is a £20 charge for dogs. Please let me know the breed of dog and confirm that they are quiet , not barking too much! and friendly with strangers. Please bring suitable covers if they are allowed on sofa or beds. Please also confirm that they will be kept on a lead as there are roaming chickens and ducks and sheep nearby in the fields.
