NO PARTIES or events & max of 6 guests. Visit Kings Canyon, Yosemite, Sequoia National Parks as well as nearby Kings River and several lakes, the Blossom Trail and local wineries - then come home to the Farmhouse to to rest and enjoy the rural ambience of this lovely house on a horse ranch! The Farmhouse is located in the country near Sanger and Clovis, with a view of pastures, orange orchards, and the mountains. We welcome guests from all over the world! Longer stays 28 days+ upon approval The Farmhouse is at the far southeast part of a horse ranch in a large pasture, separate from other ranch activity but within view., (so NO PARTIES or large unauthorized groups!) The outside is native plants (no landscaping) and wildflowers with fruit trees. The three bedroom house is newly remodeled, with bamboo floors and granite counters. The two car garage has automatic door openers and the washer and dryer with laundry supplies, ironing board, etc. We have super fast Xfinity wifi throughout the house, and smart TVs. There is a master bedroom and private bath, with queen size princess bed, dresser, closet, TV, and view of the back pasture. The second bedroom has twin beds, TV, closet and dressers. The third bedroom has a full size bed with closet and TV and a window that looks out towards the front yard. The second bathroom is directly across the hallway. We do have a gel mattress or campbed if needed for extra guests. We have decorated with upscale furniture and Pottery Barn and Cremiux bedding and wool rugs. Most everything is new - even the mattresses! The living room is an open design, with leather couches and soft lighting. The kitchen has refrigerator, stove and dishwasher, microwave, Keurig (as well as French Press and expresso maker), dishes and silverware and all the small appliances you'll need (such as juicer, bread machine, blender, etc.). The kitchen is fully stocked, so if you get in late you can make dinner (pastas, cheese, etc.), have a glass of wine or beer; or make eggs and pancakes for breakfast. You may use any of the foods or drinks provided. There is a front gate with a keypad entry and the house entrance has a security code as well. There is a garage that you may use for your vehicle. You have access to everything in the house and the immediate front and back. We have no landscaping yet, though there is a new 5-burner barbecue grill out back! You must honor the peace and quiet of this rural farming region, and so we do not allow large groups, loud music or parties. I let you have your privacy, but we also love to share information about the area and show people around. Jim and Tess are great with directions and ideas for things to do during your stay. Let us know if you want a tour of the ranch, please ask ahead of time and we will schedule one for you! We leave the decision on how much to interact with us completely up to you! We do live at the other end of the ranch, so we WILL catch & put a stop to any large unauthorized groups or parties IMMEDIATELY. You must be honest with us about number of guests. We are located in an area that is mostly small family farms. Our ranch is a family-operated horse facility, but there are cattle, sheep and goat ranchers, orchard and crop farmers, and other horse ranches nearby. There is a large orange orchard right across the road. We have two wonderful fruit stands within a mile of the ranch if you want fresh strawberries and local vegetables. Eden East is in the country, about 5 miles from Clovis and Sanger, and most restaurants close early. Neighbors Tap and Grill restaurant is open til 10pm most nights., and a few others nearby are open til 9pm or so. For a special dinner - go to Schoolhouse Restaurant which is about 10 minutes away (it really was an old school). There is a historic small market (Sunmaid Grocery) less than a mile down the road, and they have the best steaks ever (and really reasonable price). Barbecue them with the seasoning I've provided - delicious! There is a State Foods 4 miles away in Sanger, as well as a WalMart. Vons and SaveMart supermarkets are in Clovis a short drive away. There are hiking and biking trails all over, and many of our guests love to just drive or bicycle around. For Halal and Kosher meats - the International Market in Fresno is the best. For a special dinner or Sunday brunch - make reservations at School House Restaurant and Tavern a few minutes away. It really was an old school, and you’ll enjoy an elegant rustic dining experience that pairs house made, seasonally fresh, new American cuisine with a wide selection of California’s finest wines. The Blossom Trail Cafe is about 2 miles away, but call first to make sure they are open. Rodeo Cafe in Clovis, and Red Caboose Cafe in Sanger will serve up a hearty farm-style breakfast that will keep you going all day! There is no public transportation, but Uber will come out this far. Sanger is 4 miles away, and Clovis is about 8 miles away. Clovis has many antique stores, coffee shops and boulangeries and pubs, as well as great restaurants. Absolutely NO PARTIES or large unauthorized groups. NO smoking of any kind indoors. We do not yet have landscaping or a yard - it is a native landscape! The house, however, has been extensively remodeled and the interior is fresh and new! We implement the recommended cleaning procedures for avoiding transmission of Covid 19. Cleaning supplies are available for guests to use as well. The bedding and towels are always freshly washed for your stay. The house is kept spotless to eliminate the need for pest control, and we only ask that you wash all your dishes, do not leave food items, and bag up your garbage so critters don't come in (this is the country after all!). Don't forget to go out back, turn off the lights, and look at the night sky - on a moonless night you can see thousands of stars, and possibly the Milky Way and planets!
