For up to 16pax - Mak Embun's House is a unique traditional Malay kampung villa with modern comforts (AC units, hot shower etc.) Located in a serene village 25 minutes away from the historic city of Malacca/Jonker/Melaka Sentral. Ideal for nature lovers looking to escape city life. Best for families, couples or small groups looking to seek a private getaway in Malacca. Enjoy your own private pool time, BBQ or mobile spa service (request to book!) The space Traditional Melaka house originally built by local villagers and family members back in the 1900s. Guest access Guests will have access to the house and mini pool. Other things to note The house is made up of 3 units: 1 unit with 2 single beds, 1 unit with a king-sized bed, and 1 unit with two rooms (one room with 2 single beds and another room with a king-size bed). We also have 3 daybeds and can accommodate 11pax (based on the number of beds). However, extra mattresses, pillows, and comforters are available for up to 16 pax. Please note that each unit also has its own hall/lounge area with TV (basic channels), kettle and mini fridge. AIR-CONDITIONING: There are air-cond units installed in different parts of the house. The traditional design also helps with ventilation (the temperature drops at night too). We also have fans installed to help you keep cool. HOT SHOWER: The bathroom is equipped with a hot shower unit. MOSQUITOES: As we are in a tropical climate, we are unable to guarantee that you will not get bitten since there are mosquitoes around. TIPS: As mosquitoes commonly feed around dusk & dawn, we recommend staying indoors at this time to reduce your risk of getting bites. Use a repellant - mosquito/insect aerosol sprays, coils, and mats are also available upon request. Use Vicks Vaporub on your bites to effectively reduce itchiness. BREAKFAST: Charged at RM10/pax to support the local community. Do notify us early of any dietary restrictions/if you'd like to try our breakfast, freshly prepared by village locals. BBQ: Setup includes BBQ equipment and a pack of BBQ charcoal, charged at RM50.
