The harbour area boasts great eateries including Gisborne Wine Centre, The Works, The Wharf and Lone Star. Across the road from the Harbour area is the historic Blitz Surf Shop one of the first in New Zealand. The town beach has a great cycle and walkway linking beach and river. Kaiti Hill with its walking and fitness tracks and stunning view from the top is another attraction.
