Ferncreek Studio is a cosy retreat and features its own entrance, balcony, with a small yard with a BBQ, table and chairs, and opens into a huge native bush garden for guests to wander about and enjoy. The studio is very private and is tucked at the back of the host’s home. The garden is home to a fern-lined creek that inspired the studio’s name. Early risers might spot lyrebirds singing and displaying, while Sulfur Crested and Black Cockatoos, Kookaburras, King Parots, Rozellas, Rainbow Lorikeets, bowerbirds, etc often visit during the day. Many will even sit with you on the balcony. The living space includes a double bed, cozy couch, antique armchairs, a TV, and a DVD player with lots of movies. The ensuite bathroom and towels and bedding are provided. The super modern toilet can be operated via digital controls to massage, heat, wash and even play music but if not switched on electrically, it's just the usual toilet. The shower has strong hot/cold water pressure. The big windows (with shades) provide a panoramic view of the garden. Note that the backyard is not fully fenced so children and pets need supervision. There's an excellent wifi signal for those who wish to work. The kitchenette is equipped with a gas stove (NO OVEN), a microwave oven, sink and fridge with freezer. There are pots and pans, plates, cups, glasses and various cutlery. Salt, sugar, pepper, oil, a range of teas and coffee are provided. This airbnb is located mid Blue Mountains so it is very easy to access the rest of Blue Mountains. It's only 15 min by car to the famous Jameson valley and waterfall sites in Katoomba, Wentworth Falls, Leura etc. There are many beautiful waterfalls in Hazelbrook. The closest, some 30min walk or a jog, is Hazel, followed by Edith and Mabel, along a wide sandy trail, where a platypus has been seen. Terrace falls, 5 min by car to the start of the trail, are considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Blue Mountains. Traveling by train is also easy, as the studio is only 10-15min walk from Hazelbrook train station and 1.40min train ride from Sydney. Pets are allowed but guests must contact the host before booking and there is an extra fee of $30 per stay per pet. Only house trained pets are allowed and owners must bring with them everything needed for their pet's stay and should not use any of studio's items for their pets. Guest access Guests can park in front of the house when they arrive. Please park at the front of the main house and not in front of the neighbors. The studio is located at the back of host's house. The huge backyard is fully accessible to all guests and their pets as well as the small enclosed yard with chairs and BBQ that is in front of the airbnb. Other things to note Please note that the studio is a single room, with a kitchenette, its own bathroom and a balcony.
