Guest access Wrapped around the property is a private patio with raised seating area and a private hot tub to add to your relaxing holiday experience. PLEASE NOTE. 1. The hot tub will be ready on arrival at 3pm and will be emptied and refilled on the guests final evening. During the “winter” (1st October to 31st March) this will be at 6pm and in “summer” ( 1st April to 30th September) 9.00pm at the very latest as it can take 2 hours to empty, clean and refill the hot tub. If for any unexpected reason, such as mechanical breakdown, the hottub is out of use, guests will be informed as soon as possible and be reimbursed £20 per day direct from Airbnb. 2. IF A TEMPERATURE OF BELOW ZERO IS FORECAST THE HOTTUB WILL BE EMPTIED BY 4pm ON THE GUESTS FINAL DAY TO PREVENT THE FAILURE OF THE PUMP. 3. It is strongly suggested that guests shower before entry to the hot tub as skin moisturising lotion, deodorant and sweat will colour the water greenish. Chlorine sanitises the water. 4. It is not advisable for pregnant women, babies under two and those with any heart condition or dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system to enter the hot tub, they do so at their own risk. 5. Under no circumstances should guests enter the hottub when a storm, thunder/lightening is imminent. Guests should check the weather forecast themselves for weather warnings in the area of Holly Toft. 6. The host will check ph and chlorine levels throughout the stay to ensure compliance with UK regulations for holiday let hot tubs. If the host is unable to do the daily check a number of chlorine tablets will be given to the guest to administer themselves with instructions. The temperature is set at 38. degrees (100F). Although the temperature will drop during use, it will not magically heat up again like a kettle so please DO NOT change the temperature gauge from 38 Celsius or 100 Fahrenheit. The set temperature is safe for commercial use. Other things to note Holly Toft, built in 1910, was originally a stone coach house and stable barn for Hollinwood House. The 54 sq metre cottage, totally refurbished in 2017/18, welcomed it’s first guests in March 2018. It is an outstanding property nestling in an area of unrivalled natural beauty, well worth a visit. The area offers some of the most beautiful, remote walking in the country, from river valleys to woodland cloughs and expansive moorland hills. A “runcation” would be perfect here or bring your bike Lose yourself in a sea of spring bluebells or look for incredible sunsets and starry nights from the luxury of the hottub. The hot tub safety information in the info manual and the signage on the hot tub fence must be read before using it. Please note as the hot tub will be ready when guests arrive at 3pm, it will be emptied the evening before guests leave (at 6pm in winter and 9pm in the summer at the latest) so the spring water of 6 degrees has time to reach 38 degrees for the next guests. It heats up at approximately 2 degrees an hour. It is sanitised with chlorine tablets and the ph is checked throughout the guests stay. About 4 times a year mid week an LPG delivery will arrive about 8am, without notice. They try to be an quiet as possible whilst the gas tank is filled up..The joys of country life! Holly Toft is accommodation for a couple on a romantic rural retreat. There is parking for ONE saloon or 4x4 type car only. Visitors of guests are not permitted neither are smokers! The patio is recycled so would melt if cigarettes are stubbed out on it. Electric cars can be charged down in the town square behind the library whilst you have a coffee, or wander round the shops. Strange though it seems, please do not rearrange the furniture.......it will scratch the floor. N.B. Loss of key will incur a charge of £100. The wood burning stove is not a multi fuel burner so only wood can be used. The wood that is initially provided is a mixture of sawn up branches and old fencing posts. There is the possibility of large rusty nails protruding from the wood. Please take care when stacking the fire. The glass door must be locked closed at all times when in use, apart from when stacking additional wood on the burning fire. A leather fire glove is available for this purpose.
