Description
Chez Vera is Ideal for short breaks, business trips, or for dog owners. Our garden/basement flat has its own private entrance with self check in. The bedroom has a double bed & opens out to a beautiful fenced garden. There is a well equipped kitchen/lounge. The private bathroom, is in an adjacent corridor. We are near the City Centre & University. There is free street parking around the corner. THE FLAT HAS A LOT OF STEPS SO NOT SUITABLE FOR KIDS, THE ELDERLY, PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY/SIGHT ISSUES The space CHEZ VERA Chez Vera welcomes people from all ethnicities, faiths, genders and sexual orientation…..diversity and inclusion are very important to us. The flat is in the lower ground floor of our house, we live upstairs, but we totally respect people privacy as the flat has its own entrance, separate to ours…and if guests don’t want to meet us, they don’t have to as we have an easy self check-in process. The advantage is that we are around if anyone has any problems or if guests would like local recommendations. THE PLACE…Our house is old, 1890, so it can be a bit quirky for some people, the layout surprises some people, but we love the quirkiness, as we are a family of artists. We have some noise from pipes, due to the age of the house… The flat has a lot of steps outside and inside, so not good for the elderly or people with mobility problems… Chez Vera is decorated with a Scandinavian influence in charcoal and muted tones with an emphasis on soft textures and warmth. The flat has all mod cons-dishwasher/ washing machine/ microwave/ oven/ smart TV. and WiFi. We provide clean towels and try to provide everything we can to make our guests stay as comfortable as possible- everything for the weary traveller! Plus all guests have direct access to our beautiful tropical garden, with outside eating . THE BEDROOM The bedroom, is very light and airy with patio windows onto our beautiful garden. It has a double bed which has a very comfortable pillow-top, pocket-sprung mattress. The flat sleeps two in this double bed only! THE LOUNGE/ KITCHEN The Lounge/ kitchen is an internal room with only one small window so very little natural light, but it is decorated in light airy colours and has lots of modern artificial lights and a smart TV. THE BATHROOM AND TOILET The Bathroom and toilet, are newly fitted and has a lovely shower. It is completely private for the guests. There is a short walk to the bathroom down an adjacent, SHARED CORRIDOR which we may have to access to go to the garden, but do not do so when guests are in, but if we do to water the garden for example, we will text to ask before we come down. So you don’t have to worry about seeing us. ENTRANCE The guests have their own private side entrance so they can come and go as they please. PARKING Parking is restricted on our road only between 8-10am Monday to Saturday. Unloading is possible as most people arrive after this time. But there is Free Street Parking around the corner a minute away, on Elm road, Fernleigh road, and a bit further away Seymour road is another alternative for free parking…. However if you come for the weekend you only have to worry about Saturday morning. LOCATION Our stylish flat is situated in leafy Mannamead, in the historic city of Plymouth we are close to the city centre on the direct bus route to the hospital, and all Plymouth’s amenities. NON- ACCESSIBILITY People who have accessibility problems should be aware that our flat has a lot of stairs down to the entrance and then a few steps inside the flat; one down to the bedroom, one from the kitchen to the lounge and one down the hall to the bathroom. The bathroom is down a long narrow corridor, so not really suitable for people who have walking problems, are near-sighted or who use a stick! Not ideal for people with disabilities or the elderly! Regards Vera Guest access The flat has its own private entrance at the side of the house. Guests have their own private kitchen/ lounge and bathroom, with free wifi and access to our beautiful tropical garden. We also have a key locker for self-check-in, which makes getting in and out of the property possible at anytime according to our check-in and check-out times! Other things to note Plymouth is situated in the middle of glorious Devon countryside, twenty minutes drive to Dartmoor National park and on a world-renowned coastline. The landscape in Devon is unrivalled; it is great for walking, relaxing, surfing and if you are an artist it is very inspirational. Devon and our neighbour Cornwall is the holiday destination for the UK. Plymouth is on the border with The county of Cornwall so we are very near/short drive away from the beaches and attractions of north Cornwall and also the beaches of South Devon and Dartmoor National Park. We are approximately one hour’s drive from the world-famous Eden Project, which is a great attraction and well worth a visit!
