Possum Cottage is a holiday home for guests who regard their pet dogs as family. Here, your pets can share your beach experience and be spared the stresses of separation. A council designated "leash-free zone" beach is almost at your front yard. Dogs are permitted in the house but not upstairs. Inside the house, dogs are not permitted to be left unattended at anytime. Of course, guests without dogs are also welcome. The space An architecturally unique holiday home, Possum Cottage is nestled amongst a garden of tropical trees and flowering plants. The Cottage consist of two floors. The ground floor has two bedrooms and spacious, open living room, dining room and kitchen. The upper floor has an enormous 22 sq m bedroom and sofa. It opens to a generous balcony which is large enough to entertain. Bathroom facilities are on both floors. The idyllic, private swimming pool provides a peaceful environment that attract native birds. Guest access EXCLUSIVELY YOURS are two floors of living space, swimming pool and garden. Provided your dog is toilet trained, non destructive, clean and dry, it is welcome inside the house, on the ground floor. To protect our furniture, freshly laundered sheets, towels and covers are available for dogs to use . If you intend to have visitors to the house during your stay, please inform us prior to booking. Other things to note On the designated "leash free zone", your dog has the freedom to run, swim or fossick amongst the rocks. Leashed dogs can share paved footpaths on the foreshore; dirt tracks at the headlands and visit dog friendly restaurants [of which there are several]. Possum Cottage gives you the opportunity to see the sun emerge from the ocean; wake up to the sounds of breaking waves and breathe unpolluted air that have crossed the Great Barrier Reef. A variety of fish is caught, off the beach, at Trinity. Your hosts will share with you, local knowledge on where, when and how to fish.
