Welcome to the farm on the hill in Holme-Olstrup - with a focus on sustainability, responsible consumption and climate-friendly choices. Here on the farm, we have made a conscious choice to live in a more sustainable way to minimize our footprint on the planet. The rooms are decorated with recycled furniture, the towels are made of GOTS-certified cotton, and in the kitchen we have waste sorting. In addition, we have loan bikes and a bookshelf where you can exchange your read books for some "new" ones. The space The farm is located in a rural setting with open fields and a great view of the sunset. The house is divided into two apartments with shared entrance hall. You will have a lovely bedroom with a 1 ½ man bed as well as a living room, bathroom and kitchen, which will be shared with any other guests. There is also the option to rent the west room, which is a slightly larger room. The room and living room were on the 1st floor, and the kitchen and bathroom are on the ground floor. There are good parking conditions and the possibility of charging an electric car (type 2 connector) - just let you know in advance. If you come by bike, you can park the bikes in the barn so they can stand in dry weather. Note! We have two happy and playful dogs, who are used to walking throughout the house. And they love when guests arrive. If you don't want them to enter the kitchen or upstairs, you just close the door. We live right across from a nursery where there is free access to the playground when the nursery is closed. There is also a playground for the older children outside the kindergarten. And if you go to the ball fields, you'll find a multi track (for football and basketball, among other things), a climbing tower, and outdoor fitness tools. Guest access You are welcome to use our outdoor facilities. On the terrace there is garden furniture, and you can find cushions in the cushion box right outside your door. If you want to use the grill, just let me know. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine, dryer and drying rack. Please let us know in advance if you wish to use this. During your stay We live in the house ourselves and will be available throughout the stay. Other things to note Breakfast can be purchased for DKK 90 per adult per day and DKK 60 per child (up to 12 years) per day. The breakfast is, of course, organic and consists of, among other things, home-baked sourdough bread and eggs from our own hens. If you want to add breakfast, it must be ordered at the time of booking and paid for upon arrival. Please note that we will exceptionally not be able to offer breakfast. Coffee and tea are always available in the kitchen. Extra experiences: One day hike incl. packed lunch We offer hikes on two different routes in the South Zealand nature, where we provide transportation to the hike's starting point and a packed lunch for the tour. Both hikes are 11-12 km and end in Næstved Centrum. Here you can choose to explore the city, or you can take the bus or train directly back to Holme-Olstrup. Included in the hike are short and description of the hiking route, transportation to the hike starting point, and a packed lunch and snacks for the tour. You must provide your own water for the trip, backpack, practical footwear and clothes according to the weather and transportation back to Holme-Olstrup. Note: The trips are not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Price: 290 DKK per person Micro Class: Make Your Own Soap We will meet in the kitchen for a micro class on how to make your own cold stirred soap. The class lasts about 2 hours. We make two kinds of soaps: a cleaning soap with only three ingredients, and a hand soap where a little bit more about deliciousness. In the class, you'll learn about safety, how to make a soap recipe, and of course, you'll work in practice to make soap. After the class, you'll each take home a piece of soap and the recipes for the two kinds of soap. Note: The course is only for adults over the age of 16. Feel free to bring your own safety glasses and cleaning gloves. Price for 2 people: 950 DKK incl. materials. Join pig feeding Free experience that can be fun for kids and adults alike. Come and join us as we feed the pigs. It will typically take place around 5 pm in the afternoon, with ask us in advance if you would like to join the pig feeding.
