Description
The Cottage is self-contained, with excellent facilities, furnishings, a private patio, access to the garden and off road parking. A lockable shed is available for cycles and there is space for cars and m'bikes to be parked off road. One medium/2 small dogs welcome, contact host. Situated between the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks and close to the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty there is plenty to do and see in the area. Richmond, market town is close by . The space The Cottage has been completely re-furbished, to provide a comfy, cosy environment with excellent facilities, central heating and an additional electric fire in the lounge. In the bedroom is a super-king size and super-comfy bed. It splits into two full, single beds, giving flexibility for sleeping options. Smart wall lights, bedside cabinets, a full length mirror with hanging space (also on the back of the door), a luggage rack, two chairs and a drawer unit with mirror, hair dryer and access to power points complete the bedroom facilities. There is a well-equipped kitchen, with fan oven, extractor, ceramic hob, airfryer, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, extensive selection of cooking utensils, crockery, glasses and cutlery. A welcome pack of goodies is provided, along with the basics for your first breakfast. In addition to instant coffee, Yorkshire tea and a teapot there is a large and a small cafetiere available with ground coffee for guests to use. A table and chairs provide a comfortable dining area in the kitchen. The lounge has a comfy two seater sofa and armchair, reading light as well as gentle lighting, small table, smart tv, alexa dot, electric fire for those cosy winter nights and pictures on the walls. In the shower room there is a spacious waterfall shower, with complimentary shower gel and shampoo. There is also a toilet, wash basin with handwash and a mirror. During the warmer months of the year your outside space on the private patio has seating, a table and a cantilever parasol for calm summer days , a lawn and garden, giving access to the off road parking on block paving on the driveway. A pond is also in the garden, with friendly fish providing a relaxing atmosphere. Bird feeders in the garden will bring a number of different birds to visit you. Please tell me if you would like to bring a dog, one medium or two small ones are very welcome, I just need to know, so that I can put a welcome pack out for them too. I do not charge a fee for dogs, and expect them to be supervised at all times. Dogs must not be left alone in The Cottage, or the garden at any time. Please clear up after your dog, for the comfort of future guests. Please tell me a little about those planning to come to stay in The Cottage, including your dogs, so I can welcome you all personally. I do not charge a cleaning fee, but if extra or specific cleaning is necessary following your visit, including bedding, this cost will be passed to you via the airbnb resolution system. Guest access Guests can explore the area on foot or by car, public transport is limited in rural areas. There are many footpaths and bridleways around the village and the local pub has just re-opened. The shops, ATM and petrol stations (two 24hrs) are a short drive and provide for all your needs. A local leisure centre, cinema and library are close by as are the beautiful market towns of Bedale, Leyburn and Richmond, where parking is free for 2 hours with a free disc parking scheme, available in the cottage or local shops. Situated between the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Pennine Area of Outstanding Beauty The Cottage has access to a huge variety of beautiful countryside and activities, as well as many towns, cities and places of interest. In the market hall in Richmond has a very helpful Tourist information centre, providing leaflets and advice in addition to those we have in the Cottage for you. We leave maps in the cottage for you to use during your stay and ask that you return them for the next guests to use.
