Description
This is a traditional stone-built house which dates back to the 1800s. It used to be the local Midland Bank but it is now a beautiful holiday let. It's high ceilings and large sash windows make it a very light and airy house to stay in. With 2 reception rooms and an additional room for children to play there is plenty of room for everyone to find a space to relax. The main sitting room has ample seating for 6 people and the log burner makes it a lovely, warm room to enjoy your evening in. The space Inside the house there is a large lounge to the front of the property. With the large bay windows and high ceilings this is a lovely light and spacious room. This room has a flat screen TV with access to Netflix, BT Sport and internet based channels. There is also a DVD player with a wide choice of DVDs (these are found in the children’s room). Opposite the lounge, so also benefitting from the light afforded by the bay windows, is the sitting room. This room is intended for guests to enjoy some quiet time away from modern technology so does not have a TV in it but is perfect to enjoy a good book. Towards the back of the house there is a children’s entertainment room. This has a comfy sofa, books to enjoy and a TV with PS3 console. The PS3 can also play DVDs. There is a selection of PS3 games to play and a wide selection of DVDs to enjoy in this room. Opposite the children’s room is a spacious dining room with a large, wooden rustic table easily seating 6 guests. Adjacent to the dining room is the kitchen. This room overlooks the patio and decking area and is well equipped to cater for those that wish to cook. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, two spacious doubles and one which has two single beds in. All have plenty of storage for your belongings. There is a large shower and a back-to-the-wall freestanding bath in the bathroom with a separate toilet opposite. There is a patio area and raised decking to the rear of the house. There is a bike storeroom where you can securely leave your bikes. There is also a bike work stand and a selection of bike tools for essential maintenance. Inside the storeroom there is also electric boot driers where you can hang wet boots to dry ready for the next day. A small lawned garden, which is separate from the house, can be accessed via the lane at the back of the property. There are a selection of small children’s garden toys to enjoy here. Outside there is off road parking for up to 2 vehicles. Parking on the road opposite the house is also available and this is free. Please note that the mobile phone signal in the village is very poor but you can use wifi calling in the house and the wifi signal is very good. Guest access Guests have full access to the house Other things to note Please note during peak summer months and holidays we operate a 7 night minimum booking Saturday to Saturday. Outside of the peak times we are flexible and will try our best to accommodate any duration and any check in day.
