Nestled within 10 acres of private woodland, landscaped gardens and olive terraces, Alventura is a luxury boutique villa where you’ll enjoy a tranquil and authentic stay surrounded by Tuscan nature. While the villa feels secluded, it is just a mile from the Medieval hilltop town of Barga (renowned as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy), and around 45 minutes from Lucca. The space Alventura has been meticulously restored with luxury, space and comfort in mind, retaining a traditional Tuscan feel with a contemporary edge. It has a lovely homely feel, as we lived there for many years while we renovated. The kitchen is very well appointed with high quality equipment and utensils, and is a pleasure to cook and dine in. We provide a welcome basket of local treats to start you off and there are plenty of cookbooks on hand to inspire you. The cosy lounge area offers a peaceful place to relax, read or chat around the fire. All three spacious bedrooms have luxury ensuite bathrooms and offer spectacular views to wake up to. We offer luxury complimentary toiletries, and high quality bedding and towels. Windows have mosquito nets. The villa is south facing, so enjoys sunshine from early morning until late afternoon, and there are plenty of quiet spots in the garden to relax. You can take in the stunning views over the valley on the loungers in the sun, under a pergola shaded with kiwi and wisteria or under an olive tree. The pretty courtyard is the perfect place for alfresco dining and there’s also a shaded, paved terrace overlooking the large saltwater pool – perfect for aperitivos! Children will love the pool, all the toys, the library, and the park with a tree house. The villa, pool, terraces and a well-equipped outdoor kitchen complete with pizza oven are all for your own private use.
