Located in the heart of the city, on Ile de la Cité, the one-bedroom Monbazillac penthouse is one of Paris Perfect’s exquisitely maintained apartments, situated on the 6th floor of in our very own building on historic Place Dauphine. State of the art elevator, combination washer/dryer high security digital locks and double-glazed windows for good sound insulation allows guests to enjoy contemporary comforts in a remarkable 17th century setting. LIVING AREA The living area is ideal for enjoying a romantic dinner at your home away from home, or snuggling up in the elegant sofa to watch television, cleverly concealed behind the fireplace mirror. The living room’s sofa converts to a single bed (80 cm wide) with memory foam mattress. BALCONY & SKYLINE VIEW In warmer weather, how about opening a bottle of chilled rosé wine and sipping it on the beautiful balcony, taking in the stunning view of the Paris skyline including the towers of Notre Dame and the spire of Saint Chapelle. The balcony is furnished with a bistro table and two chairs. BEDROOM - ENSUITE Tastefully decorated in muted tones, the bedroom features a comfortable extra-wide queen bed (that can be split in 2 single beds) a widescreen television and an en suite with a shower, toilet and sink. POWDER ROOM There is a separate powder room with toilet and sink. KITCHEN The small but fully equipped kitchen features top-of-the-line Siemens appliances including a dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, a stove top with four burners, full-size refrigerator with freezer. You will also find a Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster and all the pots, pans, utensils, cutlery, dishes and glassware you need to feel at home. STAIRS The penthouse is split over two floors with an internal staircase that leads from the bedroom and bathroom on the 6th floor to the living room, kitchen, powder room and balcony on the 7th floor. While the steps are well lit and wider than usual for staircases in France, it is not recommended for guests with mobility limitations. The apartment is located on the 5th floor (6th floor American) with an internal staircase to the 6th floor (7th American). There is an elevator to the 5th floor. Guests have access to the entire apartment. A friendly, English-speaking member of the local team will greet you at your apartment to personally show you how everything works. They will also happily share with you their best tips and insider knowledge so you can make the most of your stay in Paris. Just outside your door is one of the most coveted, secret spots in Paris; the beautiful Place Dauphine. Built in 1610 at the request of Kind Henri IV, Place Dauphine is an ideal place to be immersed in all the history, charm and beauty that Paris has to offer, full of trees and a few perfectly placed benches to sit and take in the atmosphere. It is also a popular spot for locals to play a game of the traditional French game pétanque, which you can watch in the square or listen to from your window. The area is also popular with lawyers who work nearby at the Palais de Justice, so there are excellent cafés and restaurants to enjoy. Staying in the Ile de la Cité puts you right in the middle of Paris: it’s even called “Kilometre Zero” from which all distances in France are measured. However, you won’t need to venture far to find the best sights, museums, shopping spots and neighbourhoods to explore. Ile de la Cité is also where you will find the famed Notre Dame Cathedral and the incredible stained-glass windows of Saint Chapelle. Across the river on the Right Bank are the Louvre and the beautiful Tuileries gardens with the Musée D’Orsay on he Left Bank. Walk a little further from the river on the Left Bank to find the stylish Saint Germain area and the cobblestoned streets of the Latin Quarter.
