The Old Church and private Lodges

Retaining many wonderful original features and set in a semi-rural location, The Old Church features a welcoming wood burner, large bespoke wooden dining tables, huge covered south facing deck with fire pit and views over open countryside. With two secluded one bedroom lodges within the grounds featuring their own private covered decks, The Old Church is ideally suited to friends and family gatherings. The local grocery shop is a 5 minute walk, with many restaurants only a short drive. The space The Old Church has a stunning living area with a feature stained glass window, beautiful log burning stove, cozy book reading snug and a tennis table on the mezzanine level. The spacious dining area features 2 large bespoke wooden dining tables. The dining area also incorporates an original church pew, piano, bar recess and direct access onto a huge covered decking area making this a relaxing and flexible entertaining space. The large kitchen is well suited to self-catering for groups and there are a number of bespoke locally sourced catering solutions available on request. Each of the 5 individually designed bedrooms in The Old Church feature bespoke furniture and flat screen TVs. Single beds can be added to two of the double bedrooms in The Old Church, making them triples and taking the total accommodation in The Old Church to 12 guests. The ground floor of The Old Church is wheelchair friendly with the largest bedroom being on this floor, featuring an ensuite wet room. The dining room, kitchen and a sitting area are also on this level. There is wheelchair access to the decking. Carrick and Kyle Lodges are set within separate and secluded areas within the grounds of the Old Church, around a one minute walk from the main building, with their own private car parking and entrances. They each accommodate 2 guests with exceptionally comfortable super king beds, ensuite shower rooms, kitchen & seating areas and private covered decks. At Carrick Lodge you can relax in front of the outside wood burning stove, whilst at Kyle Lodge you can soak in the roll top bath with views of open countryside. Guest access The Old Church & Lodges is for the exclusive use of your group. There is a private entrance and parking for two cars directly in front of the Old Church with further parking in our private car park adjacent to the Old Church. The Lodges have their own dedicated parking. Please note that the host lives in a property at the rear of the Old Church, with its own private driveway and entrance. Other things to note The Old Church has a large south facing deck which is partly covered and a rustic garden. Gates can be closed to make it safe for children. There are several bespoke catering options. The Ayrshire Home Cook School provides cooking lessons and catering and is highly recommended by other AirBNB guests. Coastal Kitchen Ayrshire caters for intimate dinners, offers a delivery service and focuses on using the best locally sourced high-quality ingredients. The Old Church and Lodges have TVs and WIFI, with the option to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer etc via your own accounts. We have our own separate accommodation to the rear of The Old Church.
