Located just an hour's drive from Brisbane on the Cunningham Highway on 40 acres of rural native habitat, surrounded by fields of fat cows, horses, kangaroos, Aussie bush, and wildlife. Your private studio cabin sits at the end of a quiet unsealed road, with your hosts nearby if you need anything. A peaceful rural retreat, perfect for slow stays and romantic getaways. The space Long Shadows is a Queen studio cabin, with splendid views of our rural landscape....Spend your time relaxing onsite enjoying the rural ambience - listen to the calls of the native frogs during rain and birds in the early mornings and late afternoons - take a stroll through the 40 acre property and enjoy a refreshing swim at anyone of the five dams, where the geese, horses and cows will welcome your venture through their paddocks, or find a shady spot along the olive grove to meditate, read, picnic or nap, or light and sit around the outdoor fire pit on our chilly winter evenings. Long Shadows is the ideal place to enjoy fresh country air, the quiet and to rejuvenate your senses and unwind. There are no stairs to climb whatsoever - From the moment you arrive at Long Shadows you will glide effortlessly from your car into the cabin; even the shower is designed for manoeuvrability and comfort. The cabin is fully fenced, so your dogs are welcome. Nearby Spicers Hidden Vale Resort welcomes visitors for wellness pampering, culinary delights, mountain biking and more. Visit The Grandchester Hotel for a cool ale, pub food, and to meet the locals or venture into historic Laidley for some shopping and a look through the street markets on a Friday morning. Guest access Your private studio cabin is located 100m from the homestead where you have access via your own driveway. There are no stairs to climb whatsoever - From the moment you arrive at Long Shadows you will glide effortlessly from your car into the cabin; even the shower is designed for manoeuvrability and comfort. There are no stairs whatsoever. Other things to note - Wifi access is not provided. However, Personal Hotspot works well. - Tank water is in use, please use water thoughtfully. - The cabin is a studio (queen bed, kitchen, dining and lounge all together, with separate bathroom). - A washing machine and dryer are not provided. However, there are laundromat facilities at both Laidley and Rosewood. The hosts, when available can machine wash and dry your items for a $45 fee per load.
