Description

Ideal for weddings and family reunions, conferences and workshops. The house was restored in 2012/13 and 2017/18 with a lot of love for detail. It comfortably accommodates a total of 23 people. Celebrations by prior arrangement only, please. The space Here you can book the entire house exclusively. This includes the entire first floor, as well as the entire top floor on a gigantic area of over 650 square meters. Dining room for at least 24 people and more: The house has two large dining areas with large tables (or boards) with ample seating for up to 24 guests. On the first floor is a large backdrop table, which is 3.60 m long and 92 cm wide. In the loft there are two tables side by side, which together come to a total length of 5 m with a width of 90 cm. The two dining rooms are located in the attic, in a huge room of over 100 square meters. And once on the first floor equipped with a large antique panel, in the historic hall of the house, with an area of over 50 square meters. Guests can thus choose whether to dine on the first floor by the fireplace with terrace access or in the panoramic loft of the attic with views over the fields into the bay of the Orther Reede (Gold, Strukkamphuk, Lemkenhafen) and views to the lighthouse of Flügge. The largely still existing valuable old building substance makes the house a special place. One of the few typical Fehmarn farmhouses, largely preserved in their original state, of a formerly large-scale farm complex, which shaped the rural image of the holiday island with their independent character. The house was restored in 2012/13 and 2017/18 with a lot of love for detail. This has preserved a real rarity. Architecturally and purely aesthetically, according to traditional Fehmarn building culture, it is a nine-axis broad building with a dwarf house and a full hip in partially original brick and covered with traditional hollow clay tiles. Part of the half-timbered frame made of clay bricks is exposed inside and plastered with clay. Original country house doors and oak panels from the Gründerzeit period were refurbished and remains of distemper structures on the living room walls were exposed. Some rooms are decorated with simple North German stucco elements. The floors in the hallways and entrance hall are largely made of historic terrazzo. High-quality oak herringbone parquet, refurbished and Scandinavian-style white glazed pine planks (pitch pine), as well as Villeroy & Boch Mettlach Art Nouveau mosaic tiles of timeless elegance, have been preserved. The current division of the rooms is true to the condition of the 2nd half of the 19th century (the house was first mentioned in 1820). The division has been consistently maintained and is designed according to the historical model so that three generations (multi-generation house) and the employees of a large farm could be comfortably accommodated. Today, the house can comfortably accommodate up to 11 people on the first floor and another 12 people in the attic. In the event of an event request, the number of people could be increased. The interior is mixed with modern elements or new elements that fit in well. Kitchen on the first floor: In the spacious kitchen, in the middle of the room, there is a kitchen island with integrated ceramic hob (with child safety lock) and a large dishwasher. The kitchen area is tiled with antique Villeroy & Boch Mettlach mosaic tiles (cement tiles) from the turn of the century. It contains a classic porcelain sink, an oven, microwave, a four-burner stovetop and a free-hanging island range hood. The kitchen, equipped to accommodate over 30 people, adjoins the large dining room and has a window to the southwest-facing terrace. Bathrooms on the ground floor: The first floor alone has three bathrooms, as well as an additional large wet and bath area with sauna, three additional toilets and three additional showers. In all bathrooms, traditional high-quality English fittings from DEVON & DEVON, TRADITIONAL BATHROOMS (as known from the SOHO-HOUSE Group) and some originals, e.g. vanities from a Berlin hotel building of the 1920s by the architect ROBERT LEIBNIZ (Adlon Berlin), have been installed. Three of the rooms have their own bathrooms. Two of them with traditional freestanding bathtubs on lion's feet. The tiles in the bathrooms are either new mosaic tiles based on historical models from the company VIA or preserved originals over 100 years old. Sauna: There is a sauna that can accommodate three people in the house. Terrace: The terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the huge garden. It extends over 60 square meters with traditional brick laid in a herringbone/ear pattern and bordered with granite curbs. Easily accessible via the 50 sqm living room and conveniently adjacent to the kitchen. It has a large table with ample seating and additional seating on benches and rattan lounge furniture. A charcoal barbecue is also provided. Two huge umbrellas provide shade. Due to its west-facing location, you can watch breathtakingly beautiful sunsets over the Orther Reede from the terrace in summer. On the south side of the house you are completely on your own, as only a field borders the house here. Garden: Sunbathing, eating and grilling comfortably with friends on a large picnic blanket or as a huge adventure playground for the kids. The huge garden, which has a total area of 13000 square meters with an old fruit tree population, is bordered by an old ingrown stone wall. Here you are absolutely for yourself and can enjoy the tranquility of seclusion and nature. Rooms on the first floor: Nothing is more important than a good night's sleep. Therefore, all beds in the bedrooms are equipped with high quality mattresses. In the rooms there are exquisite antiques from the history of the house, modern classics and modern furnishings harmoniously combined next to each other. Some rooms have both a private bathroom and an attached private living room, so you can retreat at any time. Via a satellite system, over 600 programs can be received on modern flat-screen TVs. The attic: Studio loft. Bright. Plenty of space. Panoramic window The view sweeps through the XXL panoramic windows along picturesquely blooming rapeseed fields, over the coast of the Orther Reede and remains at the lighthouse of Flügge and the nature reserve "Krummsteert-Sulsdorfer Wiek" at the other end of the bay. The space is unparalleled. In addition to the first floor, the converted attic offers a living area of over 330 square meters. The attic is divided into a main apartment and an adjoining self-contained apartment. Outside, enjoy breathtaking landscapes as far as the eye can see - inside, experience a pearl of familiar charm of antique and modern furniture classics, as well as the comfort of modern home decor. You will find a mix of antique furniture and design classics. Scandinavian design classics made of teak wood from manufacturers such as Cado, Finn Juhl, Wegner, PP Möbler, Piet Hein & Bruno Mathsson, plus new furnishings, as well as antique classics from the Gründerzeit, Art Nouveau and the Roaring Twenties. The floor was generously expanded with a lot of love, including the old beams of the sloping ceilings, and largely kept in white according to the Scandinavian model (white country house planks). The large attic apartment can be reached either via a spacious external staircase or an internal staircase. On the first level of the attic are the full bathroom with freestanding bathtub, bidet and large flat shower, the kitchen and three of the five bedrooms. Three more bedrooms are located in the attic. The first double bedroom on the gallery is accessible via a straight-cut, white beech wood staircase and is located behind a gallery parapet. The room on the second gallery, equipped with a bunk bed, in which adult guests can also be comfortably accommodated, and a children's bed (up to 12 years), can be reached via an antique cast-iron Kontor staircase, which is spiral. The children's room is adjoined by a closed bedroom, which is ideally suited as a parental bedroom. The associated, adjoining small apartment can be reached via a small intermediate corridor and is self-contained. It has a cozy bedroom with a 160 cm wide double bed and a living area with a small kitchenette with dishwasher, fridge and stove, as well as a small but nice shower room. Location/surroundings: This idyllically located country estate is located near the beaches of Orther Reede and Fehmarn-Sund (less than 1 km radius). The nearby beaches are diverse. So there's something for everyone. There are fine, shallow sandy beaches or stony natural sandy beaches that allow you to find deep conditions hundreds of meters into the Baltic Sea, which are especially popular with water sports enthusiasts. On some beaches, surfing is a top priority, while on others you are almost alone and can enjoy the tranquility of nature. The popular areas for kite and windsurfers with their shallow water in Gold and Strukkamp-Huk are easily accessible on foot or by bike (approx. 1 km radius). Two surf schools have been offering sailing, windsurfing courses and, since its beginnings, kite surfing courses for more than 30 years. The 'Wulfener Berge' golf course is nearby. On the edge of a cornfield behind the house, a megalithic grave/Hühnengrab can be admired in a small grove. Ideal for small meetings, symposia, yoga groups or workshops. Highly recommended for family celebrations, weddings, anniversaries or birthdays. Guest access This listing refers to the entire house, which covers an area of more than 650㎡.
