Maison La Lanterne is a holiday house run by Eliza & Michael, located in the tiny peaceful village of Bassigney in the north of the Franche-Comté and on the border of the Vosges. Recharge your body, mind and spirit surrounded by picturesque landscapes, tranquil vibes, and cozy yet stylish interiors. Ideal for activities like hiking, cycling, canoe kayak or fishing, but you will also find towns to visit if you are hungry for culture. The closest commercial facilities are 3 km from the village. The space The house is spacious and has a breathtaking view from the garden. The rooms are about 20m2 each, two of them looks on the garden and river and one of them to the village. There's a double bed in each room, and in two of the rooms there’s a single bed as well, so a maximum of 8 guests can sleep comfortably. We can provide one baby bed and a high chair. The house has two bathrooms ( shower and bathtub ). * THERE IS ONLY 1 TOILET IN THE HOUSE (ON THE FIRST FLOOR). * Guest access You can park in front of the house (2-3 cars) free of charge. Other things to note ACTIVITIES Please note that this part of France is known for its natural charm that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying simple activities in nature or discovering down-to-earth local attractions. This may not be the right place for those seeking big-city life or looking for crowded/popular distractions nearby. We do have interesting activities to propose, but many of them involve at least a short drive. ANIMALS NOT ACCEPTED Due to too many negative experience with guests with pets we had to make a decision to not allow animals anymore in the guesthouse. NUMBER OF GUESTS -The maximum capacity of the house is 8 (kids included), we cannot accept more people than that, please keep this in mind in last minute changes. -In the case of turning up with an unregistered pet or more guest than registered in the reservation, we have the right to refuse the entering in the house or to charge you a supplementary fee. HOUSE EQUIPMENT -Bedsheets and towels are provided free of charge. Please do not use the bath towels for outside, bring your own beach towels if needed. -Coffee machines : Philipps Senseo and a filter coffee machine -The house is NOT equipped with a TV, but we have a lot of books and games :) HEATING -The house is heated principally with 2 fireplaces, you will have to keep the fire on to keep the warmth in the house. The wood is included in the price. The maximum temperature in the rooms is around 20 degrees in winter. CLEANING -Cleaning is included in the price but we appreciate if you leave the house in order as you found it, clean up after cooking, collect your rubbish in the bins and start the dishwasher before departure.
