Character family home of 270 sqm, set in a quiet private park of 3 hectares, located in Burgundy (Nièvre), 2 hours from Paris. Ideal for family gatherings and multi-generational stays, in a spirit of conviviality and respect. Comfortably accommodates up to 15 guests: 6 bedrooms, large kitchen, spacious dining room for shared meals, and a cosy living room with fireplace. Close to Cosne-sur-Loire and Sancerre, in the Loire Valley. Secure swimming pool and large natural surroundings. The space 🏡 The house The house has been owned and carefully maintained by our family for several generations (over a century!). We affectionately call it “La Forboiserie”. It has retained its character and warm, convivial spirit, making it an ideal place for reunions, shared meals and time spent together, in a calm and respectful setting. It is particularly well suited for family gatherings and multi-generational stays. With 270 sqm of living space, the house comfortably accommodates groups of up to 15 guests, while offering plenty of room for everyone to gather or enjoy their own space. It is located close to Cosne-sur-Loire and Sancerre, at the gateway to the Loire Valley. Bed linen and towels are not included in the price. We can offer this service. Thank you for contacting us. During July and August we only rent for entire Week from saturday (4pm)to saturday (10am). During this period, bed Linen and towels are free of charges. 🛏️ Layout of the house Ground floor: Kitchen, study, dining room, living room with fireplace, two bedrooms with double beds, each with an en-suite bathroom, and one toilet. First floor: Two bedrooms with double beds, one bedroom with three single beds, two bathrooms and two toilets. Second floor: A children’s dormitory (four single beds) and one bedroom with a single bed. 🤍 The spirit of the house We make the house available in the same way we use it ourselves, with all its authenticity. We therefore place great importance on respect for the house and its natural surroundings. The house contains many books. Those located outside the living room are at your disposal; we kindly ask that they be returned to their place after use. 🌳 Outdoor areas The house is set within a 3-hectare private garden, planted with century-old conifers (sequoias, cedar trees and Douglas firs). You will enjoy a secure swimming pool, a barbecue, swings and a small playhouse for children. A natural setting, ideal for relaxing, sharing meals and enjoying the peace of the Burgundy countryside. ℹ️ Practical information Bed linen and towels are not included in the rental price. Optional linen & towel kits are available: - €20 for a double bed - €15 for a single bed with 1 single bed. Guest access The house is entirely at your disposal, with the exception of the attics and a few locked cupboards. French public safety regulations (ERP – Establishments Open to the Public) do not allow us to host more than 15 people in the house, including children and infants. By submitting a booking request, you agree that the number of guests will never exceed 15 people at any time during your stay. Other things to note I prefer to exchange messages and answer any questions you may have before you proceed with a pre-booking.
