The space There is a driveway that can accommodate up to 2 cars and plenty of street parking when you arrive. The driveway is 30 feet deep and can accommodate a small boat or camper or 2 average cars. Need a space for a larger camper or boat while visiting? We own the property across the street and it has a 75 foot driveway that is available to use as well. Coming in after dark? Let us know we will leave the light on for ya.. lol First floor includes large living room that's a comfy space. Staying with us a while? Don't forget to bring your Netflix login as all the TV's are hi-def, smart, or 4k. Dining room, fully equipped kitchen and a 1/2 bath. Upstairs you will find 2 nice size bedrooms and a full bath. Plenty of closets, towels and everything you need to be away from home. The Master bedroom features a walk out porch with relaxing furniture. Love the outdoors? Outback you will find a patio and grill for you to enjoy. Be sure to check out the local art that is featured in the home. Love scifi? You will love our book library or bring your own and lay back in the leather chairs in the living room and relax. Living here for many years we can guide you to many local attractions and restaurants. There are 4 churches in walking distance. Ask for a tour of the Raised gardens, Koi pond, Bee hives. We are avid bee keepers... As a matter of fact we keep honey made right here at the house for our guests to use... Just love it? we keep a limited supply for sale for our guests as this honey normally sells out when we release it to the public. Want to know more just ask him. Bees you say? They are about 70 feet from the backdoor and there is a 9 foot fence between the backdoor and the bees. Honey bees won't bother you unless you bother them. Why did we decide to do this you ask? We have traveled a lot and I often said if we had a place that we shared we would have great beds (we do. Guest beds are made by Olee they get great ratings) I want something to look at (we have great art!!), I want great technology and great TV's (got it, have questions we will answer them). I hate staying at places that have a wifi splash page or a time out or every time you leave you have to sign back on. You wont find that at our place or a restricted bandwidth. When I travel I take a USB stick with movies on it, most of the times the TV's in places I stay do not have the connection or aren't smart enough to play movies this way. You will be able to do this at our place. Have a Netflix account? All of our TV's are connected and SMART and have Netflix loaded on them. Need help just ask. Something else about our place - Good toilet paper (need I say more- lol) and Hotel Luxury towels and sheets. One of my pet peeves when traveling is where will I plug up my phone chargers or laptop? Solved at our place all the rooms have lamps with convenient easy to access plug ins. Clocks - All of ours have a USB charge port and large dials easy to see and in addition to that they project the time on the ceiling. Hot water you ask? We installed 2- 50 gallon hot water tanks in tandem, enough for 8 - 7 minute showers (average) back to back with out running out. What will you find in the space that's yours to use- Help yourself to any food or beverages We usually keep water in the fridge and sometimes soda.. For breakfast we keep Breakfast bars, Instant oatmeal, Hot Chocolate, assortment of teas, Coffee and creamers as well as sweeteners. You will also sometimes find snacks or microwave popcorn, just help yourself. We want your feedback--- We want this to be the best place in Roanoke to stay- tell us how? Shared spaces include the backyard and parking.
