The renovation carefully preserved its centuries-old character while upgrading the infrastructure to meet modern standards. The house is heated via underfloor heating and features two separate apartments, one above the other with the same floor plan and similar furnishings and each has a total living space of approx. 95 m². Please note: Stairs are required. ADDITIONAL COSTS: GUEST TAX - CHF 5 per person (from 12 years) / night with public transport and in summer mountain railway included, also for your dog ADDITIONAL GUEST: 10.- CHF per Guest per Night starting from 7th guest. EXTENDED CONVENIENCES (Fees apply): BABY-/TODDLER BED - CHF 10 per bed/night (inclusive duvet, pillow, changing mattress, high chair, children's crockery, play mat) DOGS with well-behaved bipeds up to 27kg are welcome. Please specify in your booking inquiry the breed and size. We provide orthopaedic dog beds with cosy inserts, towels, and bowls for our dog guests. - CHF 25 per pet/night Dear four-pawed friends, this is a peaceful retreat with plenty of clean water sources for drinking and swimming. With a little courtesy towards people and wildlife, you’ll enjoy a freedom here that’s hard to find elsewhere. In winter, no salt is used on roads, and on New Year’s Eve, the only noise comes from the ringing of church bells. Guest access ACCESS TO THE HOUSE The entrance to the house is down the stairs on the left; see the photo of the house. Climbing stairs is required. Guarda is easily accessible by public transport. The train stops on request at Guarda Staziun. From there, the PostBus runs regularly to the Guarda, Cumün stop. After 8:00 PM, an on-demand bus taxi is available with advance booking. In winter: Slip-resistant footwear is recommended. If arriving by car, winter tires are mandatory; all-wheel drive or snow chains are advisable. Parking is available just outside the village. Other things to note Guarda is an authentic Engadin village perched on a sunny terrace, known for its historic houses, peaceful atmosphere, and unspoiled nature. Hiking trails, bike routes, scenic fire pits, and the Swiss National Park are right on the doorstep. In winter, top ski resorts await, while nearby Scuol offers relaxation at the Bogn Engiadina wellness spa.
