During the extensive renovation in 2017, special emphasis was placed on preserving the historical features of the old farmhouse – and at the same time creating modern, high-quality furnishings. The house has comfortable underfloor heating and offers two separate, superimposed apartments with the same floor plan and similar furnishings and each has a total area of about 95 m². Please note: climbing stairs is required. In winter, road salt is dispensed with and on New Year's Eve only the bells ring instead of rockets. Guest access ACCESS TO THE HOUSE The entrance to the house is down the stairs on the left; see photo of the house. Climbing stairs is required. Guarda is easily accessible by public transportation. The train stops in Guarda Staziun on request. From there, the PostBus regularly goes to the Guarda, Cumün stop. After 8:00 pm, a bus taxi is available with advance notice. In winter: Non-slip shoes are recommended. When arriving by car, winter tires are mandatory, all-wheel drive or snow chains are an advantage. Parking is available in front of the village. Other things to note Guarda is an authentic Engadine village on a sunny terrace, known for its historic houses, quiet atmosphere and untouched nature. Hiking trails, bike routes, idyllic fireplaces and the Swiss National Park are right outside the door. In winter, first-class ski resorts attract visitors, while the nearby Bogn Engiadina in Scuol offers wellness and relaxation.
