The Girasole apartment is one of 7 fully self-contained, air-conditioned apartments which comprise the Casine villa. It is situated in a beautiful rural setting, nestled in a village in the valley below the Etruscan town of Cortona in Tuscany. It is situated in a beautiful rural setting, nestled in a village in the valley below the Etruscan town of Cortona in Tuscany. The Girasole apartment is located on the ground floor overlooking the garden and pool and comprises a Lounge and kitchen/dining room plus a double bedroom, toilet and shower room. The lounge has a sofa bed and so the apartment can accommodate up to four visitors. There is ample on-site parking. Our guests can use the large 12m x 6m swimming pool with loungers and sun-shade umbrellas. There is a large barbecue (with adjacent sink) and a large patio area equipped with tables and chairs for al fresco dining. From here you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Tuscan hills, and the lights of Cortona at night-time. Although we don't live at the property we do have a local management support which can help with any problems you may have and Christine (who acts as our customer contact) is always available on the phone or via email. We can offer a range of activities organised by a local company based in Cortona; Wine Tasting - Tuscany's rolling hills and Mediterranean climate provide the perfect spot for the production (and drinking) of good quality wines. Cooking - Tuscany is meant for those who appreciate and love Italian cuisine. Tuscany still takes pride in the fact that traditional Tuscan recipes take centre stage on the dining tables. Cycling - A tour of Tuscany will take you through beautiful scenery with rolling hills, ancient houses, churches, medieval architecture and views which will simply take your breath away. Painting - Tuscany is an inspirational location with stunning views and Mediterranean light to capture the imagination and enrich the spirit. Walking - Trek through the picturesque Tuscan countryside alive with wildlife and carpeted with wild flowers or wander through medieval hamlets, exploring exquisite Churches and Castles. Weddings - We can take care of all the aspects of your wedding, from the church or civil service, the reception, photography, floral design, music, transport and accommodation. Guided Tours - of Cortona, Florence (including specialist tours of Uffizi Museum and Vasari corridor), Tuscan and Umbrian villages and more. Vintage Vespa tour - using vintage Vespa or Lambrettas. Horse riding - a half day or a full day with Italian picnic lunch.
