The bench area has a microwave, kettle, toaster with an under the bench small fridge. There is no sink and runnning water in this space. You have sole use of a bathroom and toilet which are located on the next floor upstairs. Ranch slider opens to a private outdoor courtyard, your own keys provided. The space Location and Region We welcome you to our BnB situated on the Pohutakawa Coast in the small suburb of Maraetai Beach. This beautiful area offers so much for the active person and for those that just want to amble along taking in the scenery and relaxing at one of the cute cafes down by Maraetai Beach. Our house is situated a short walk from the beach or you can drive down by car. Maraetai has 3 takeaways shops and 3 restaurants. There is a Dairy which is also licensed to sell alcohol. The suburb before Maraetai is Beachlands which is a 5 minute car ride away. Beachland’s offer more facilities which includes a Countdown Sueprmarket, Post Office, Hairdressers, Chemist, and a Variety shop. Guest access Our House and Your Space Your room is located downstairs in our house. It is a new space which has recently been completed. It has been fitted out in modern furniture and is a very relaxing space with everything you should require. The queen size bed has a memory foam mattress topper for your comfort. The bathroom and toilet, for your sole use, It is located away from your room on the next floor. You have your own courtyard which can be accessed through the ranch slider. This is a lovely place to sit and catch up on your day. We have potted plants displayed in a creative Spanish style. The room space has under floor heating with a thermostat. We will instruct you on it’s use. We are providing you with cereal, milk, bread, butter and jam as well as tea, coffee and milo. If you wish for a cooked breakfast the two café’s down at the beach or Pine Harbour do a nice breakfast. If you require to have a load of laundry washed, the cost will be $5 per medium load and $5 for the dryer . There is a line for your use to dry your clothes. You will find fresh water in the electric jug and fridge daily. Water is not available by tap in the space. We have wireless Wi-Fi and the TV is a new Samsung with a great range of viewing options through USB and HDMI inputs. There is a retro stereo with some vinyls and cds for the music lover. During your stay We live down a cul de sac in a quiet neighbourhood which has lovely views from our deck across to Waiheke Island. We respect your privacy but are available to chat about what is available in the area, where to eat, how to get there etc. We will leave brochures in the room for you to peruse. Michael works from home so is available most of the time. Other things to note A 25 minutes drive from Maraetai, along the Pohutakawa Coast you will find the village of Clevedon. Clevedon has 2 wonderful tourist shops where you can purchase New Zealand made products (Merino, honey, sheepskin, greenstone, timber products etc.) On Sunday there is a great Farmer’s Market at Clevedon selling local produce and some international foods. You will love the market as it is a meeting place where people sit with coffee and enjoy a slow Sunday morning. The closest large shopping Centre is Botany Town Centre which is a 25 minute drive. Here you will find everything you need including Fashion and Fast Food shops. Other locations to visit in our area are Kawakawa Bay, Hunua Forest and Waterfall and Whitford Village.
