The Black Forest Lodge is situated in Igelsberg in the middle of the Black Forest and it offers various possibilites to nature. Igelsberg is a community with roughly 250 inhabitants, located around 10 km north of Freudenstadt. The place is idylically situated on a sunny hill, surrounded by fields, meadows and woods. Activities: Hiking, Walking, Running, Swimming, Biking, Mountain biking, Cross-country Skiing, Relaxing, Enjoying the nature and the woods The space The accomodations in a typical Black Forest House stand out through very lovely, brightly and modernly decorated rooms, where some special, modern features can be spotted. At the same time, the nostalgic charme of the house and its history is always kept. Guest access The house has a large common area: There are two breakfast rooms with space for up to 24 people. A kitchenette for the preparation of simple meals (2 hot plates, dishes) is available. On each floor in the hallway you can find electric kettles to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee. During your stay My baby son keeps me pretty busy these days. Nevertheless, I do my best to be there for my guests if there are questions! In the morning, you can book the breakfast for 7 € (coffee/tea/orange juice, 2 breadrolls, marmelade, cheese, butter - a vegan option is possible upon request). There's no restaurant or supermarket in Igelsberg. But there are various restaurants in the neighbouring towns (5-10 minutes by car). Alternatively, you can prepare yourself a warm meal in the kitchenette (2 hot plates, microwave, no stove). If you don't want to get in the car, you can also get food delivered if you order for a certain amount. I used to cook a regularily for my guests. You had the chance to participate in a lodge dinner. I cooked a vegetarian meal and everybody who wanted could have dinner in the common area (in the style of many hostels on the Camino de Santiago, where this is common). I don't do this regularily any more at the moment because of my family and son , but maybe there will be a dinner again in the future from time to time. I have great memories of these evenings!
