Description

This stone built single story little cottage is set in a court yard that was part of the farm that supplied food for the Marquess of Bute at Cardiff Castle just half a mile away. This charming old cottage was probably an animal barn. A Perfect quiet location in the centre of the vibrant city. it has its own WIFI. Please note that it is NOT Blackweir Terrace (which is about 200 yards the other side of the road) but Google maps have overruled me! See directions after you book. The space This single story cottage is perfect for a couple or singles who wish to visit Cardiff for University conferences, opera, rugby, cricket matches, visit the museums, castle or enjoy the large shopping centre. There is a comfortable sitting room, good sized kitchen and lovely bedroom. A small bathroom with just a shower, toilet and basin. Guest access Keys are found in the keysafe near the middle door. Unless I have been away a lot there are usually teabags and instant coffee in the kitchen, and some basic ingredients. No animals please. No smoking please. Please inform me if you are coming by car and I will direct you about parking spaces. You can hire bicycles from Pedal Power across the park. Other things to note This house suits the quieter character better than the gregarious one. I would advise those who like to walk back home after the match or dinner to stay here - it is nearly always quicker and easier to walk than go by car or taxi if you want the city centre. Now that the Council has closed the main road by the castle to private cars it is increasingly difficult to go by car into the heart of Cardiff. From here it is less than 20minutes walk. There are buses that pass regularly on the A470 straight into the centre.
