Perfect for couples or families, Opossum Bay Beach House is your ideal location to enjoy all that absolute beachfront living has to offer. Stroll directly from the large deck down to the beach to swim, play, walk and relax the days away. Opossum Bay is one of Tasmania's family holiday hot spots that features a safe, sheltered beach, stunning uninterrupted views of Mount Wellington and the River Derwent, and is only a 40 minute drive from Hobart city. Welcome to our little slice of paradise! The space The beach house has four bedrooms (two upstairs, two downstairs), features an open plan kitchen/living area, a large deck overlooking the beach and a second, sheltered outdoor entertaining area (complete with BBQ). The living area leads out onto the deck to make the most of indoor/outdoor living. Three of the four bedrooms have uninterrupted water views. The kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable, self contained stay. Enjoy cooking up a storm with local Tasmanian produce from the Hill Street Grocer or TCM, both of which are conveniently located in Lauderdale - a short 20 minute drive away. The local Opossum Bay Store is a few minutes walk from the house, where you can get basic supplies, petrol, and the all important takeaway fish and chips! There are plenty of board games and beach toys for the kids and adults to enjoy. There are some great places to explore if you’re up for a walk. Follow the tracks to South Arm or head the other way and explore the headland and beaches. You’ll be set no matter what the weather does! Guest access Guests have full use of the house during their stay. Other things to note We provide fresh linen and towels (including a few beach towels). Check-in is after 2pm and check-out by 10am. If you require earlier check-in or a later check-out please let us know and we will endeavour to accommodate your request.
