Woodland Mirth is located 3.5 km from the Foster township, only 30 mins from the Wilsons Promontory gate and very close to the Great Southern Rail Trail for bicycle riding. It is a generous guest accomodation property surrounded by 2 acres of beautiful gardens bordering Bennison Creek and set amongst the coastal dairy farms of South Gippsland. The house sleeps 8 people in 4 generous bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. The space Woodland Mirth is a classic victorian style farmhouse updated to provide a modern open-plan living experience with ironbark floors, beautifully crafted timber ceilings and many architectural features including a designer kitchen with integrated appliances and all you need to cook up a storm. Its the perfect place for friends & family to gather. The modern living zone opens onto an outdoor entertaining area incorporating an in-ground swimming pool, spa, sauna and pool house. The master bedroom upstairs includes a covered balcony and ensuite with spa bath Children are welcome at Woodland Mirth Holiday Retreat, however the property is surrounded by creeks and there is a large dam only 20 mts from the house so this house is not recommended for young children. All children should be watched around water. You are welcome to bring your dog but they must stay outside. There is a fenced dog enclosure suitable for small to medium size dogs in the surrounding garden. Please clean up after your dog at all times. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the whole house on the two acre property. This includes the pool, sauna, spa, pool house and the extensive gardens. Please note there is no laundry provided for guest use at Woodland Mirth, this is because the property is totally reliant on tank water for all facilities including the pool. Due to seasonal rainfall variations and reductions in overall average rainfall in recent the years, laundry usage onsite could jeopardise water security. There is a Laundromat is the township of Foster 3.5 km away Other things to note At Woodland Mirth we value the natural environment and have taken steps to reduce the negative impact we have on it. All of the water servicing the house and swimming pool is collected onsite and stored in tanks, this is great for the environment however some people do not like to drink rainwater, if this is the case we suggest you bring your own bottled water. We grow and cut our own firewood and have solar panels providing some power. There is a small vegetable garden area with some perennial produce available for use by guests depending on the season. We have retro fitted double glazed windows and doors into most parts of the house and upgraded the insulation to keep heating and cooling inputs to a minimum.
