A former courthouse and jail has transformed into a CoDE Pod Hostel- The CoURT. The Victorian A-listed building is located in the heart of Edinburgh's old town and is surrounded by the cities most famous landmarks. The space Originally designed as the Edinburgh police chambers, the building contained both holding cells and courtroom facilities that have been transformed to add modern comfort while keeping the historic nature of the rooms intact. Note: this listing is for a single pod in a mixed-dormitory with 8 pods. Our sophisticated ‘pods’ (we’ve gone beyond traditional bunk beds here) and shower rooms are designed with maximum comfort and privacy in mind, whilst our communal area are intelligently laid out to ensure those who stay here can relax and unwind, and, if they choose to do so, meet and mingle with interesting new people, as part of their hostel experience. Our dorms are mixed and shared, so you can share your experience with other travellers! Note: A private room or dorm must be booked if you are travelling with children under the age of 18. We do not allow children to share a dorm room with other guests. We will try our best to allocate all pods to the same room when multiple pods are booked on one reservation, however this can’t be guaranteed. If you wish to be certain of a private room then please book a private dorm. *Towels are not included, but can be rented for £3.00 at reception Guest access Guests have access to our modern pod beds, with a reading light, power point, USB charger and shelf.
