Plough - Cute Country Cottage in Kilmington

Nestled in picturesque Kilmington, close to Lyme Regis, Valley Farm holiday cottages are tastefully and sympathetically converted 18th Century traditional barns with a wealth of original features combined with modern luxury and convenience, yet maintaining historic character and charm. Situated in a private, quiet and peaceful setting, next to fields and with delightful far-reaching views, the cottages are nevertheless within a short walk of village amenities. The space A skilfully and sympathetically converted barn that now combines the ambience of a rustic country cottage with the luxury of modern needs. This holiday cottage has an entrance porch leading into an attractive, open plan lounge/dining room equipped with a modern fitted kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with a cooker, fridge and microwave, the lounge has a Smart 40in Freeview HD TV, and dvd player. A short flight of stairs leads to the en suite bedroom furnished with a super king size bed that can convert to two singles if requested. An alarm clock, radio and hairdryer are provided. Here at Valley Farm understand the importance of a good night’s sleep, hence 100% cotton bed linen, a choice of pillows and mattress toppers come as standard. The bathroom has a full-size bath with shower, WC and wash basin. From its own patio, overlooking the beautiful gardens and orchard, guests can relax, enjoy a glass of wine and soak up the peaceful ambience of this tranquil and unspoilt haven. This cottage has its own designated parking space. Guest access Plough Cottage has a dedicated parking space, its own entrance and an outside seating area. Plough Cottage shares a large, enclosed garden with adjoining Horseshoe Cottage. The garden has pretty planted borders and fruit trees. The garden abuts one of our fields, where sheep are often present. We have two fields (5 acres), which guests are welcome to access (at their own risk). Other things to note Valley Farm has a 7Kw EV charging point for guests use. We charge at cost plus a small margin - so a lot cheaper than public charging points and more convenient. Flexibility - Our cottages are available on an extremely flexible basis and can be booked for any length of stay from two nights to two weeks and more, starting on any day of the week. Early check-ins may be available by prior arrangement. Dogs - We are dog friendly, for responsible dog owners. Please read the section on ‘House Rules’ below. A fee of £20 per dog per stay is charged - payable to owner's on arrival if not already paid when booking. Locality - Leave your car keys behind and enjoy the fabulous walks from the cottage in our beautiful countryside and woods, or take a wander to The New Inn, a thatched village pub with great food. Also in the village is locally renowned Miller’s Farm Shop with The Teapot Café and other small retails businesses. The village services on the A35 has a small grocery store and a Greggs/Subway. Venture further afield with Lyme Regis, Seaton, Sidmouth, Charmouth and Bridport/West Bay just a few of the beautiful coastal towns within easy reach. Axminster (a 5 minute drive) has a train station, where you can reach the city of Exeter in around 45 minutes.
