River Cottage is a small house located in beautiful natural surroundings in Selfoss, south Iceland. The house was built during the summer of 2018, situated by river bank Ölfusá-river, one of Iceland´s longest rivers. Peaceful and private location just a short way from Selfoss (10 min. walk, 3 min. by car). Equipped with a 5G-internet, TV, combo washing machine & dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge, and all necessary kitchen appliances. Very nice terrace facing south and west. The space A nice living room with an open kitchen, a nice bathroom with a walk-in shower and washing machine, a spacious bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and closets with plenty of space for your clothing. A small desk and a chair. In the neighborhood, you will find supermarkets, a swimming pool, restaurants, a golf course, and various shops nearby. Approx. 1-hour drive to Geysir, Gullfoss and Thingvellir National Park. Guest access When you enter our property there is a private parking (space for 2 cars) where you are welcome to park your car. This is just in front of the Cottage. You are welcome to go up the steps towards the main building (our home) and have a seat on a bench where you can enjoy the view over the river, from Spring to Autumn in particular. Other things to note It´s important that members of our family will always be available upon any request you might have about the property or other important things and questions you might have.
