A quiet, comfortable private Beach House with expansive beach views from every room. Only 2 minutes walk to the best part of Hobart's favourite surf beach. A short walk to Whale lookout with wild views of the southern ocean. The front deck, living room and sunroom have stunning beach and coast views, and both bedrooms have views over the ocean. A spacious, quiet, protected, level back garden for you to relax & soak up the sun. Big TV, Netflix & NBN Wifi. The perfect relaxing beach house. The space Warm and cosy in Winter, perfect for enjoying the Summer as well. This is a special place, a bit quirky, quiet, old fashioned and definitely comfortable. Built in 1964, renovated in 1980s, and upgraded in 2016. All day sun, large windows with coastal views from every room. Full-sized well equipped kitchen with lots of pots and pans, microwave, full oven, dishwasher, family sized fridge, Breville Barista Express espresso coffee machine and Riedel wine glasses. Large separate sunroom lounge with expansive views of the whole coast. Additional outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. Carpeted living room with wood-fire heater, large 65” flat-screen TV, DVD player and DVD library, and stereo. We have WIFI with unlimited high speed NBN with Netflix, Stan, Prime, ABC I-View and SBS-on -demand, so you can either work or relax and entertain yourself. Large private level fully fenced back garden with an outdoor shower so you can wash off straight from the beach! We provide beach towels. Furnished with an eclectic range of comfortable historic and handmade furniture from the 1920's, 1950's, 1980's and 2020's. A very convenient 3 minute walk to the best part of the popular Park Beach down a sandy path just across the road. Guest access You will have private access to the whole house, including the 2 bedrooms and all living spaces and gardens. (We do reserve one small storeroom and the garages underneath for storage and our personal use). While the garage area underneath the house is not available, there is plenty of off street parking for your car/s and boat. Access is from the front driveway and up the front steps. You can walk along the side of the house to the backyard and use the outdoor shower there. There is also level vehicle access to the back garden from a private rear laneway. If you want to use this please let us know in advance so we can arrange for the gate to be unlocked for you. Other things to note The house is supplied only with filtered water from a fresh rain-water tank, and it has a septic system. Please enjoy but conserve our fresh-water supply. Free WiFi with high-speed NBN and Netflix, Stan, Prime video. We only change a small cleaning fee for servicing linen and cleaning, so please leave the house neat and tidy and in a good condition, or we will need to charge for the extra cleaning required. We do allow pets but ask the owners to be responsible for any damage or additional cleaning required because of the action of the pet. We do not allow pets on or in the beds, or dirty or wet pets in the house. Please wash and dry them before coming into the house if they have been at the beach. The back garden is fenced and safe for most pets, but please assess the safety for your own situation. This is our family beach house.
