Please note, this is not a typical party venue or a sleek, luxury hotel experience. Hideaway Hill is our beloved home, and we hope to share it with those who value its history, beauty, and tranquility. If you're seeking a quiet escape and a chance to connect with nature, this is the perfect retreat. The property features a spacious 2,000 sqft. main house filled with character and charm along with a 650 sqft. stand-alone guest house (Casita) for added privacy. Enjoy the  inviting outdoor space with a pool, jacuzzi, covered dining areas, gas BBQ for grilling and enjoying meals al fresco. Recreational spaces include a professional-sized tennis court, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and a game room with a pool table, darts, and an assortment of board games. Hideaway Hill is a place for reflection, connection, and celebration in an environment that feels both vast and intimate. We hope you’ll enjoy this cherished retreat as much as our family has for decades. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for meal preparation and cooking. While we typically stock basic pantry staples like salt and pepper, we recommend bringing any specific ingredients or spices you may want to enhance your dishes. You'll find a variety of pots, pans, baking dishes, sheets, and other essentials to make cooking a breeze. Additionally, the kitchen includes a selection of general appliances such as: Electric cooktop Electric stacked double oven Microwave 2 full size refrigerators Dishwasher Keurig coffee maker Regular drip coffee maker Toaster Blender If you have specific kitchen needs, just ask! The pool at our property is large and spacious, but due to its size, we’re unable to keep it heated year-round. During the warmer months, the pool generally maintains a comfortable temperature, though it can get quite chilly during cooler months. However, if you'd like the pool heated, we can accommodate that upon request for an additional fee of $150–$350 per day, depending on the weather. This charge covers the cost of propane used to heat the pool. The hot tub is easy to control and can be heated at your convenience with the push of a button. We have a sport shack stocked with horseshoes, tennis racquets, and a corn hole set for your enjoyment. We also provide a few basketballs and volleyballs, though they tend to get a lot of use and may occasionally be worn out. If you're an avid sports enthusiast, we recommend bringing your own equipment to ensure they're in top condition. Please note that we don’t provide tennis balls, as we've likely lost thousands over the years to guests hitting them into the mountains for fun! :) Guests will never run out of things to do here. Whether you’re looking to unwind or stay active, we’ve got you covered. For those seeking relaxation, spend your day lounging by the pool, surrounded by the soothing sound of wind rustling through the palm trees. Enjoy a delicious meal, capture a picture-perfect sunset, and gather around the fire pit to enjoy the evening under the stars. Then, soak away your cares in the spa before retiring for the night. For the more active guests, the options are endless: swim laps in the pool, toss some horseshoes, shoot hoops on the basketball court, or challenge yourself to a game of tennis. You can even squeeze in a cross-fit workout around the property or bump, set, and spike on the volleyball court. If you prefer staying indoors, head to the game room for billiards, darts, cards, or simply play some music and relax. This private getaway sits on 4 acres of land and plenty of amenities to keep you entertained. None of the space/property is shared and is private for your group only. Other things to note Please keep in mind that this property is nestled into the mountainside and surrounded by its natural habitat. As such, it’s not uncommon to spot some of the local wildlife, including bugs, spiders, lizards, gophers, snakes, hawks, coyotes, raccoons, rabbits and more. We kindly ask that you respect our friendly visitors and remember to keep the screen doors closed to avoid any unexpected encounters! The area is also home to harmless field mice, so if the screens are left open, especially at night, you might find a small mouse paying you a visit indoors. While we take every measure to prevent this, it’s important to note that you’re in a country setting. If you do happen to see a mouse, please know it’s not a rat, they are more scared of you then you are them and our home is certainly not dirty! Our property needs a lot of upkeep so please be aware that we have a full landscaping team and pool guy that frequent the property. Our trash pickup is very early on Monday mornings so don't be alarmed if you see people in the driveway grabbing the trash cans and then bringing them back in the afternoon. Our pool guy Tom has been cleaning the pool for 20+ years and is awesome. He tries to do it in between guests, but if we have back to back rentals for more than a week, he may drop in during the beginning of the week in the morning but he will only be around the pool and won't disturb anyone inside or asleep. Also, we only allow a maximum of 14 guests at a time, this includes day or night. An additional fee will be applied even if you ask for guests to stop by for daytime use of the house.
