The house was one of the first modern buildings (1950/1960) in Savelletri, a seaside town, inhabited by fishermen all year round. Domenico De Mattia, class 1906, called "Il Polisano", with his wife, decided to build his house on the port just to be ready at any time of day or night to experience what was his passion and his livelihood: the sea and fishing. The space With his wife and children he devoted himself completely to fishing, so much so that he discovered in the early 1960s the presence of swordfish in our lower Adriatic. Since then, a unique technique has developed in our sea for the fishing of these swords that still characterizes modern fishermen. The apartment retains the scent of a work-filled past and unique values that have distinguished the small society of that time. The renovation made it possible to preserve these values, but it has given a modern and respectful momentum, taking advantage of the location that offers a unique view of the sea to the horizon.
