Description
Edenview is a beautiful property, set on 5 acres in the middle of the Hunter Valley, and close to the famous Hunter Valley Wineries. It has 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, several large living areas, and sleeps up to 16 people. As the name suggests, the views from Edenview are just amazing, taking in the rolling hills and rugged beauty of the very close Watagan Mountain Range. Edenview is a perfect retreat to escape the rat race, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the beautiful countryside. The space Edenview is the kind of property where you can stay, kick back, relax and just enjoy the peace and quiet, or you can visit everything the Hunter has to offer. This includes the Hunter Valley Gardens, Hunter Zoo, winery day tours, cheese and chocolate shops, boutique restaurants. Then return to the quiet serene beauty of Edenview. It's a great place to bring the family, or several families! There are resident chickens, 2 ponies, a horse, and a sheep and even a talking cockatoo called Maxi. You can even bring your own fur babies, subject to approval from us. We have a fully enclosed dog yard to keep your dog - or little children - happy and safe. Truly a unique and endearing experience. We invite you to stay. You won't want to leave. Guest access Edenview has a large undercover entertainment area with bluetooth compatible sound system, outdoor BOSE speakers, bbq and outdoor drink fridge, perfect for that relaxing bbq after your wine tasting experience. In the winter months, there is a fire pit outside ready for an awesome night time experience around the bonfire. The stars are especially clear out here. Inside, there is a wood burning fire to keep cosy and warm, as well as a fully ducted air conditioning system. Guests can access the whole 5 acres of Edenview property. However, we do ask that guests do not enter the neighbour's property. The boundaries of Edenview will be available for you to see in our Compendium, on check in. NOTE: Outdoor Security Camera's are installed and monitored in the driveway area. Rest assured there are no cameras anywhere guests spend any amount of time. Other things to note Our beautiful property has 6 Bedrooms - which include: Main Bedroom with a King Bed and Ensuite, Bedroom 2, 3, 5 & 6 have a Queen Bed, Bed 4 is a very large room with 2 Queen bed, ensuite, and 2 single beds. This means we can sleep 16 guests in beds and an extra 2 if the double futon bed in the Family Room is utilized. The main bathroom has a bath, double basin and over sized shower. All linen and bath towels are provided. Edenview is our home, therefore we live on the property when is not being rented. As such, we have some resident animals that will stay on the property. Our two dogs come with us. We have 2 very friendly cats that we lock away in the large outside shed. Our chickens will remain locked up in their coup and our cockatoo, Maxi, has his own large cage. One of the ponies, Sonny, does enjoy cut up carrot pieces if you feel like giving him some. Franklin however is not happy chatting with people ( We call him cranky Franky). Leo, the large dark brown horse, is friendly but being the size he is, we do not recommend anyone entering his yard. There is a large fish tank inside, and we would appreciate the fish being fed a generous pinch of food once a day. Instructions are left near the tank. We will need to return to feed our animals so do request that you are happy for us to feed and water the outside animals, which should not take any more than 20 minutes. We will text you prior to returning to the property and only when it is a time convenient to you. We will not need to enter the house, and unless you would love a chat, we will not disturb you at all. We do try to leave fresh eggs for your use in the fridge, and you are very welcome to collect and use any new laid eggs that are found in the nesting boxes. (There are two hatches that open from the outside of the hen house for easy access). Sometimes we have a 'clucky' hen, meaning that she is sitting on eggs to hatch. If you see any eggs with an 'x' marked on them, do not take them away as these will be developing chicks. Any unmarked eggs should be removed daily. During the colder months, all chickens tend to go off the lay (unless they are commercially kept hens and live in an artificial environment), and therefore there will be only one or two, sometimes no eggs to collect. IMPORTANT We do ask that you let us know if you are bringing your dog/s or cat with you, and that you keep your dog/s in the half acre dog yard during your stay, so as not to upset or harm any of our animals on our property. Dogs are not allowed inside the house, with the exception of the laundry, at any time. Registration Details PID-STRA-51544
