The space The house is very spacious and well insulated. It doesn't get too hot in the summer thanks to its classic farmhouse construction. It's very close to the Puiggracios Monastery and Sant Miquel del Fai. The Garden The garden covers 2,000 square meters. It's a rustic space with Mediterranean plants and a wide variety of trees and vines. There are two wonderful lemon trees, a medlar tree, two laurel trees, two olive trees, a horse chestnut tree, a Spanish plane tree, numerous holm oaks, stone pines, and a grapevine on the porch, usually full of grapes in summer. Being a natural setting, you'll find the garden with leaves on the ground, stones, and areas with cut logs and firewood for the fireplace. Stairs of logs and you can find some times earth on the stairs if it has rained in the previous few days. There are also insects that coexist in the natural environment. Since drip irrigation is used only for sensitive plants, the garden changes color depending on the season. You may also find some plants withered if it's very hot. The terrain is uneven with slopes in some areas. If you come with very young children, you will need to supervise them in some areas of the house. The House This is a very spacious, 250 square meter house that is very well insulated. During the hot season, it's important to keep the windows closed during the day to prevent the heat from entering the house. The house is an old "farmhouse" style, but very well equipped. It has stunning views of the city of Barcelona, the Collserola Mountains, and the Valles Orientales. During periods of high guest turnover, you may find minor damage caused by previous guests, which we try to repair as quickly as possible, both inside and outside the property. Sometimes there isn't enough time to do so on the day of the new guests' arrival. The Pool The pool is 7 meters long by 3.5 meters wide. The deepest part is about 2 meters. It has a water treatment plant that runs on a scheduled schedule for about 7 hours a day, depending on the time of year. A professional comes once a week to clean the pool. Due to its location in a natural area, the pool may have leaves or insects, which you can remove with a butterfly net or wait for it to be cleaned. On rainy days, the water may become slightly cloudy, but the pool is still usable. The pool no longer has a robot because it was very difficult to use it with guests in the house. Surroundings The house is located in the "El Serrat" residential area, 10 minutes from the village of l'Ametlla. The village has all kinds of shops and services. The house is a 10-minute walk from beautiful trails. The road to the house is paved. Since the house is located at almost 500 meters above sea level, the climate is very dry and healthy, ideal for people with respiratory illnesses. A car is essential. Parking The house has a closed parking lot with two spaces for vehicles under approximately 180 meters high. You can also park on the street if you don't use the pedestrian sidewalk. Guest access The house has garage for 2 cars. Barcelona by car 30 minutes. Next train station 5km in La Garriga. Train to Barcelona Center (Plaza Cataluña) from there 40 minutes every 30m.
