Our beautiful farmstay is set on an 8 acre biodynamic farm 5 min drive from Bellingen town and the magnificent Bellinger River. Our vintage and laid back style offers you a relaxing, eco-friendly escape. We have three farmstays on our beautiful 8 acre organic Farm in Bellingen in NSW and we have a beautiful eco-off the grid wilderness hut in Hernani, in the New England tablelands 1 hour from Bellingen. Each property has been lovingly built and restored to tread lightly on the planet and to maximise the beautiful surrounds. The Bellingen Farm House, The Bellingen Vintage Farmstay, The Bellingen Farm Shed and Hernani Wilderness Hut cater to a wide range of tastes and budgets. We believe that spending quality “downtime” with your loved ones in a beautiful and relaxed setting surrounded by nature and animals is the best way to slow down, switch off, connect and recharge. CHECK IN TIME: 2pm CHECK OUT TIME: 10am OUR VISION Our vision is simple, we are committed to providing our guests with eco-friendly accomodation and to provide you with a beautiful space which is fully equiped for you to enjoy your holiday with your loved ones. YOUR SPACE We have created a relaxed and homely space where you can relax and enjoy the surrounds. Our interiors are mix of pre-loved, recycled vintage and roadside collectables. The house is a two bedroom passive solar design and has a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and oven, plenty of pots and pans, baking equipment, sandwich toastie maker, blender, stove top espresso and everything you need to cook some great meals at the farm. The house has a TV and DVD player with a great collection of movies for kids and adults to enjoy. We have an old record player with a mix of classic records to remind your kids of what we grew up with! Also a connector for your iPhones and MP3 players. There are plenty of toys, puzzles, board games and cards for you to enjoy. LAYOUT There is a Double bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom. Whilst we can accomodate 4 people comfortably we are happy to extend this to 6 guests if extra guests are happy to sleep on a single mattress on the floor. If you would like to do this please notify us of this in your message and we can organise this for you. We also provide a kindercot and high chair for those travelling with a baby. We ask that you bring your own bedding for this. There is one bathroom with shower, bath and laundry facilities. There is a fully fenced backyard, an outdoor bonfire area, gas BBQ and a small orchard to complete a very comfortable family stay. OUTDOOR BATH We have a private outdoor bath under the stars, overlooking our orchard and paddock. OUR FARM ANIMALS We have two dogs, three horses, two sheep, two miniature Pygmy goats, two native stingless bee hives and our beautiful heritage chickens free ranging on the farm. Our cows are enjoying greener pastures on our neighbours farm. We no longer have the Alpaccas featured in our main photo. If your children would like to help us feed our chickens each morning and collect eggs in the afternoon please let us know and we’ll organise for them to help us. DOG FRIENDLY STAY| DOG POLICY This is our pet friendly farmstay, however all dogs must stay outside at all times, this way we can manage the needs of all our guests, particularly those with allergies. When you arrive, please take your dog around the side of the house into the back yard and you can settle them in there. We will also collect a $100 cash bond from you when you arrive, to cover any accidental damage your dog may cause whilst you are here, this is refunded upon your departure. Please have this ready for us when you check in.  We only allow small, well trained dogs at our property, we no longer accept puppies or large, high energy dogs. Please ensure you check with us before you book, regarding the type of dog you would like to bring with you to avoid any disappointment, and please let us know the age and breed of your dog when booking with us.  We also require proof of your up to date vaccination for parvo and kennel cough ( please send us a screenshot of this prior to booking) as we do not want parvo on our farm. Dogs can often find our farmstay quite stressful as they are out of their usual environment and surrounded by many farm animals and unfamiliar smells. Please consider taking them  with you each day for the first few days at least until they settle in properly as they can often fret and bark all day when left at home, disturbing our neighbours and other guests on the farm.  We have a comfortable verandah and enclosed back yard for your dogs to stay cozy and dry. If your dogs are not comfortable around our chickens and farm animals please put them on a lead when moving around the farm. The goats live in the paddock directly behind your house, and Betty is very aggressive with dogs, so please do not allow them to engage with the goats at any time. We have a large paddock in front of your house where your dogs can have a run around without impacting on our farm animals. Please bring your dogs bedding and food bowls. We ask that you ensure your dogs are flea free for their stay with us.   We have an outdoor daybed area (two single sized day beds) that we don't want your dogs on, we understand that this is not always possible to manage, if you head out for the day and leave them at home. So, please bring spare covers or blankets to go over the top of our daybeds and cushions to protect them from accidental damage and stains from your dogs jumping up on them, especially if ww have rain forecast. Please note that when you book your stay with us you are agreeing to our dog policy above.  OUR FARM FRESH VEGGIES We are organically certified and we grow beautiful seasonal fruit and veggies and eggs, if you would like a box of farm fresh fruit & veggies and eggs (aprox $50-$80) depending on the size of your group and the length of your stay, please let us know when you book and we will have it waiting for you when you arrive. This can be paid for in cash when you arrive. OUR PERMACULTURE STYLE FARM If you want to have a look at our garden and orchard please let us know so we can try and make time to show you through. THINGS TO DO: Bunches creek is located at the bottom of the farm below your house and is a great spot for a picnic and a paddle. We have plenty of board games, books and puzzles. Let your children help us feed the chickens and collect the eggs. We have swings, a tree house and a trampoline for your children to enjoy. There are some beautiful bush walks 5 min from the house. There is an information folder at the house which explains where everything is and how it all works. It lists all the best local cafes and restaurants and tells you what there is to do and see in our local area. ANIMAL SAFETY | ARRIVAL If you arrive before we have a chance to meet you please go in and make yourselves at home, and feel free to have a wander around our farm, but please for the safety of yourselves and our animals we ask you to observe a few rules. Please COPY our gates, this prevents our animals getting out on the road and into our cropping areas. If the gates are open then leave them open, and if their closed please close them. If you have children, please supervise them around our animals. NO SHOE POLICY To manage the ongoing hygiene in all our homes we have a no shoe policy, you are welcome to wear shoes that are not being used on the farm. COVID TRAVEL POLICY Given the current state of Covid and to ensure the health and safety of all our guests visiting our farm for their holiday we now require the following: Guests must either provide their negative PCR test or their RAT test (rapid antigen test) prior to arrival. Should guests tests positive they will be unable to attend their holiday and will forfeit their booking. We are unable to provide refunds or travel credits for guests that are unable to attend as a result of having Covid. We highly suggest that guests take out travel insurance to cover any accidental loss of funds as a result of Covid. Thank you for your understanding. COVID CANCELLATIONS Government Policy If your trip is cancelled due to government policy restricting travel, or a lockdown as a result of Covid 19, we will offer you a travel credit of equal value to be used within 6 months of your original booking date. There are no extensions for this time period, so we suggest you book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Should you reduce the number of guests from your original booking we will not offer any refunds. COVID POSITIVE If you test positive to Covid prior to your arrival, you will not be able to have your holiday. We will not be offering refunds or travel credits as we will be unable to fill your booking. Should you arrive at our farm and test positive for Covid during your stay, we will either ask you to leave and complete your isolation at home or for longer bookings you're welcome to have your holiday here as long as we can rest the house for 72 hrs before the next guest arrives, in which case you may have to reduce the length of your holiday to accomodate that safety gap. Guest access You have your own private house on the farm with flat access. There are no stairs at this property and there is a fully fenced backyard where your dogs and children can play safely. You are welcome to enjoy our whole farm and explore the property. We have swings, a treehouse and a trampoline for your children to enjoy. Other things to note ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY Our house uses rain tank water and we recycle the grey water, so please only use biodegradable soaps and washing powers. We supply guests with laundry wash balls. Please do not use any cleaning chemicals in the house or chemical based fly spray and cockroach spray as this impacts the health and well being of other guests. Registration Details PID-STRA-2583-3
