In a restored old farmhouse on 1.7 ha, the 3-star cottage is quietly located on the edge of a small village in the Limousine countryside, the land of forests and water. With easy access (4 min from A20 exit 23), 10 min from all amenities, you are also 25 min from Limoges, 1 hr from Poitiers, 1.5 hr from Angoulême, 2 hr from Clermont-Ferrand, 2 hr 40 min from Bordeaux, 2 hr 50 min from La Rochelle, Royan, 3 hr from Paris. The space Gite classified 3 stars from 2 to 6 people of 65m2, adjoining the owners house but separated by a wall 80cm thick (so you can make noise!!), entrance and terrace on the facade opposite that of the owners. The interior is composed of a living room, living area with sofa bed, TV, a dining area with equipped kitchen table and solid oak benches. A bedroom with a 140 bed. A bathroom with shower, 2 sinks, and toilet. A mezzanine (completely secure) with two 90 beds. Rollaway bed and baby upon request. Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave, hob, TV, DVD player, selection of games and DVDs for children, baby facilities (cot, high chair, potty, bath, toys), Wi-Fi, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, fondue and raclette machine. Linens are provided and included in the price as well as all charges. You should bring your towels and bath linens. For a family or romantic stay... or both!! You will enjoy the 5m/10m indoor swimming pool (openable), it is heated by heat pump from mid April to about mid October (to be shared with the owners). Enjoy the pond of 3300m2 classified 1st category, possibility of fishing "no kill" (pike, carp, guardons, studs) and boat ride. Access to the pond and pool completely safe for children. 72m2 game room with pingpong, foosball, billiards, weight equipment, electronic darts, bar... is available on the floor of a barn near the pool. A semi-open lean consisting of a 6 seater spa and sauna with views of the pond as well as a shower and toilet. 5m2 sandbox for kids, cabin, 2 swings, 2 slides, petanque, snowshoeing, bike loan... Tennis 3 km away. We are a family with two children, aged 11 and 14 (not always on the property), as well as Montebello, our horse, whom you can observe and stroke if you wish. Many small roads for hikes, family walks or bikes in the heart of the countryside. Many visits possible in the surrounding area, the country is rich with nearly 900 years of Templar history. The Collegiate Church of the Dorat which is one of the most beautiful Romanesque churches in Limousin. You can visit Oradourd sur Glane, an untouched village and a testimony of Nazi barbarism. You can also see: the museum of the Eureka mine, the porcelain museum, the giant labyrinth of Gueret, the wolves of Chabrière, the island of snakes, the lake of Saint Pardoux, the village of Montrol-Sénard, the aquarium of Limoges, the zoo of Reynou, the Gallo-Romain thermal baths of Chassenon, the reconstituted village of the Gauls of Esse, the magical gaumat stones of Toulx ... You will also be 1 hour from Futuroscope, 2 hours from Vulcania, 2 hours from Rocamadour, Caves of Lascaux and Gouffre de Padirac, 2h40 from the Atlantic Ocean and 2h from the mountain. We're considering all your requests for short or long stays. Guest access The Gîte is adjoining our house but totally independent with access and private parking, an entrance and a terrace on the opposite side of our terrace. We share the pool, hot tub and sauna as well as the outdoors and relaxation room. Other things to note Bed sheets are provided. TOWELS ON REQUEST for special stays (e.g. air travel, business travel, last minute...) Provide extra towels for sauna use. A cleaning fee of €80 is offered, it is optional.
