(B4) Free Wi-Fi - Self Check-in - Pet Friendly

Located in Bungalow, which is approximately 2.5 kilometres from the City is this lovely one bedroom, ground floor, renovated apartment with a private, fully fenced outdoor area - the perfect space to bring your pampered pooch. The space THE COMPLEX We are the managers of the whole block here, with seven units in total. Over the years we been upgrading the property and units to bring them to a good standard. We have beautiful gardens externally - and inside we have renovated the units to make them a comfortable place for our guests during their holidays. We are offering good quality accommodation at a budget price. INSIDE THE UNIT Having a well-presented and clean apartment is high on our priorities. We have recently renovated inside and the photos don’t do it justice. It is a nice, clean apartment and perfect for your stay. It is fully tiled throughout, including the bedroom. You get to use the entire apartment unit for your stay. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, ceiling fans, air conditioning and a wardrobe. There is a sofa as well as a day bed in the living room. The day bed has a good quality single mattress – so it doubles as an extra bed or a lounge. This provides beds for three guests comfortably. The kitchen has lots of bench and cupboard space, as well as a large fridge/freezer. We do provide a washing machine and clothes drying rack with some washing power to get you started, but there is no clothes dryer. There are shared external washing lines as well if you need some sun drying power! We do not list an iron as an amenity provided for this apartment. The bathroom has a bath and shower, upgraded vanity and cabinet and toilet. In the shower you will find shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. There is hand wash at both the kitchen and vanity. The property comes self-contained, and we provide linen to the beds and towels for all booked guests. As we live in the Tropics where the temperatures rarely dips below 20 degrees at night time - WE DO NOT PROVIDE BLANKETS. There will be a towel for each paying guest provided, as well as hand towels. Please note we do not provide beach towels. The kitchen has all the basics down to the wine glasses! In the fridge you will find some basics to make your stay nice – we have tea, coffee, milk. In the fridge you will find a variety of jams, peanut butter and of course the all Australian VEGEMITE!! There is tomato sauce, salt and pepper as well as oil. Best of all we also leave you a packet of our famous Australian chocolate TimTam biscuits. We do not provide breakfast within the booking. We do also provide additional extras in the apartment. We provide the essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, aluminium foil, plastic wrap etc. There is a television so you can watch all the free to air channels. We also have free internet at the property. You will receive the Wi-Fi details with your arrival information. You and your guests can use this during your stay. Please note, Although Cairns is growing it is still a regional town and the internet speed sometimes reflects this status! There is a private courtyard area to sit at the front of the apartment. Smoking is allowed in the courtyard, however please ensure windows and doors are shut, and an ash tray used. Smoking inside is strictly prohibited. We ask guests to dispose of cigarette butts during and at the end of your stay. *Please note, all the items we provide in the apartment such as oil, cling film, shampoo, washing up liquid etc is there to get guests started for their stay. These items are not replenished throughout your stay. CHECKING IN & CHECKING OUT Check-in time – 2pm Checkout time – 10am One of the most important things to us is to provide a clean property. A thorough clean is performed between guests. To maintain our standard of cleaning we need to have the checkout time at 10am, so we can prepare for new guests at 2pm. We have a lock box on site for the apartment – meaning you can arrive at any time without the need for us to meet you on site. Details of the property and how to access the lock box will be sent to you on the day of your arrival after 10am. You will be provided with two keys for you to use during your stay. Fees will apply if both keys are not returned at the end of the stay. *As we are just an apartment, we do not have luggage storage facilities available. There are lockers and companies nearby who can assist with this service if required. COMMUNICATION As we do provide self check-in and checkout, we do require good communication with guests on the Airbnb messenger app before and during the stay. Please ensure you have the app downloaded to make communication a breeze. PET FRIENDLY – WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? One of the reasons we started doing Airbnb is because of the lack of pet friendly accommodation. We have two small dogs and we love to travel with them. The definition of pet friendly varies – for us it means they can come inside, and they can be part of your holiday. We do have rules in place for people travelling with a pet – and a pet needs to be approved to stay, so please ensure you contact us about this PRIOR to booking. This property is great when travelling with a dog, as the courtyard is private and directly accessible from the front door. TROPICAL CAIRNS We do live in the wet tropics and being hot and humid is part of daily life. Our winters are cooler, but during the day they are still warm enough to wear shorts and a t shirt. There are split air conditioners in each bedroom and the living room, so you can stay cool during your stay. These are newer systems and cool apartments down quickly, so we do ask guests to ensure the air conditioners are turned off when they aren’t home. PARKING & GETTING HERE *The property is around 15 minutes from the airport and taxis & Ubers are easy to get from there (approximately $30 but subject to change). *There are bus services around Cairns however it is limited. Please search Sun Bus Cairns to view the network map and plan your journeys. *If you are driving, there is plenty of parking in the carports in the complex. You can park there for free. The clearance height is 2.2m. There is also free parking on the street in front of the complex. SEE YOU SOON? We hope we have provided enough information for your stay. If you have any questions at all prior to booking, please just send us a message. Guest access You get to use the entire one-bedroom apartment, including kitchen and bathroom for your stay. There is no sharing of facilities inside the apartment. There are common parking areas to the front (which are free), and common washing lines to the side. Other things to note HOUSE RULES & ADDITIONAL INFORMATION +Unlike a hotel environment, we do not provide daily cleaning or housekeeping service. Similarly, we do not top up self-containing items during you stay such as washing powder, toilet rolls etc. We just leave a small selection to get you started. +Towels and bedding are provided for the number of guests booked, so please ensure you inform us on the number of guests staying and configuration required. Infants do count as a guest in our apartments. +STRICTLY NO SMOKING/VAPING inside the units – smoking is permitted outside but please be mindful of other guests sharing the space and close doors/windows to avoid smoke going into the property. Ensure the cigarette ends are extinguished thoroughly and disposed of responsibly. Large fees will be enforced for those smoking inside our apartments for chemical cleaning of walls, curtains, and air conditioners for the comfort of our future guests. +Please turn OFF the air conditioning & lights when you are not at the property. +This is residential complex. We ask our guests to respect the other residents by keeping noise to a minimum after 9pm. Parties and loud music is forbidden and those who don't adhere to this rule will be reported to Airbnb and their stay requested to be cancelled. If there is an issue with another guest/neighbour being too noisy, it is important we are informed immediately. We will do our best to resolve the issue quickly – even if it is late at night. +There is a cleaning fee charged on each booking, which is included in the total before you book. This is to have the apartment cleaned and serviced prior to the next guests, as well as having the linen professionally cleaned. +We do ask our guests to please dispose of all rubbish in the apartment during their stay, including emptying the bins prior to your departure – we provide extra bin liners for guests. All dishes are to be washed, dried and put away. +If there is any maintenance noted, or if an item is accidentally broken, please always feel free to let us know so we can repair or replace it. We are happy to do any maintenance during your stay or add it to the list for when you vacate – whatever you would prefer & depending on the urgency. +Approval for pets is essential before booking so we can send through our pet rules and ensure it is the best property for your stay if you do have a pet. +Guests receive two sets of keys on arrival. Charges up to $300 can be incurred if all keys are not returned at the end of the stay. This is for the security of our future guests as locks may need to be changed. +Crime is on the rise in Cairns, and we request all guests to ensure security screen doors are always locked with a KEY (not just finger latched) during their whole stay. Please ensure you remove items from your cars and ensure you lock up sufficiently to deter opportunistic thieves.
