The Old Merchant House, Portsoy Harbour

“The Old Merchant House” is a stunning, iconic, grade A listed property sitting immediately on the harbour front in Portsoy and is located on the Moray Firth coastal footpath and National Cycle Route 1. The property has a date stone of 1726 and was originally the home of Alexander (Laird) Brebner, a famous merchant and renowned smuggler. The house featured in the 2016 remake of the film "Whisky Galore". More recently the house featured prominently in the latest TV series of Peaky Blinders. The space The house is within a short drive of some of the most beautiful beaches on the Moray coast, such as Sandend and Cullen.
