Nestled in the beautiful historic district of Washington, NC, your room at the When Pigs Fly Inn (located in the historic Frank A. Moss House) is a four-minute walk to, well, everything -- the Waterfront Boardwalk, the Civic Center, and the Washington Harbor District with its quaint shops and restaurants. Also, only a four minute drive to the Washington Airport; 30 minutes from Greenville and its airport and the ECU Campus; and, one hour away from Swan Quarter and the Ocracoke Ferry. The space You will enjoy our Inn's large wrap around, brick-floored portico looking out onto a quiet garden and manicured lawn that you are welcome to use. Great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. There is a reading nook in the upstairs hallway just outside your second-floor room with an overstuffed chair that will change your life. The bed is queen-sized and your private full bathroom is recently updated. We have a fully stocked Keurig with complimentary coffee and tea available to you 24 hours a day. Also, there is a mini-fridge and microwave for your use just outside your room. Each bedroom door locks. And just a short four-minute walk away is the Washington Harbor District with its downtown shops, restaurants, and beautiful waterfront. And please note: We have a very gentle indoor/outdoor cat, Milo. Guest access There's a cozy reading nook outside your door; a majestic portico that wraps around three sides of the house; and, a back porch that gets a most excellent dose of morning sun. All for your enjoyment and use. During your stay We're happy to make recommendations for restaurants, shops and local sites to visit. Other things to note Many people come to the Washington for the beautiful waterfront. There is a public boardwalk that runs along the river and right in front of one of the few Estuariums in Eastern North Carolina. And the quaint historic downtown is only a block away and runs parallel to the waterfront. A master stroke of urban planning!
