Family holiday house at Bamff Ecotourism

Bamff Estate is more than just a place to stay - it's an experience. This comfortable family house is right on the Cateran Trail, between the organic sheep farm and our rewilding project with its wildflower meadows, free roaming ponies, cattle and pigs, and abundant wildlife. Bamff is close to castles, distilleries and the highlands - a great spot for stargazing without light pollution. Guided walks can be booked, usually led by a family member, or local expert. The space This 2 storey house has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom upstairs, with separate bath and shower. Downstairs there is a sitting room, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, a small downstairs loo and a boiler room with clothes hanging space. There is a back and a front garden. The front garden has a patio and outside table. The back garden has a clothes line. Both the dining room and the sitting room have wood burning stoves and there is central heating throughout. There is wifi in the house but it can be a little unreliable at times. The house is furnished with a sympathetic mixture of modern and antique furniture and has a light airy feel with many windows. For extra guest a folding bed is provided and the sofa in the living room is single bed sized. Bedding can be supplied on request. The house garden is enclosed which makes it suitable for dogs. Guest access The whole place is yours for the duration of your stay and you may walk anywhere provided you observe the country code. There is a small honesty shop for essentials and treats close by. Other things to note The house is up a mile of private road. At times it may be a little rough but it is always accessible by ordinary car if you take it slowly. This is a place for people who love rural life but nearby towns offer a range of possible pubs, shops and restaurants. There is also a little 'Honesty" shop on the estate for treats and some basic provisions. Guided beaver walks are available.
