The Alpen Chalet, Too! (Short-term Rental STR #109), is a lovely and seculded space within our home, just right for your time away to explore or have restful restoration. There is a separate entrance, hot tub, fireplace, and premises parking. We are close to downtown (5 min. drive) and outdoor recreational activities minutes away such as hiking, rock climbing, golfing, rafting, mt. biking, and XC skiing. Beautiful setting with delightful views! This is a beautifully situated cozy apartment , not separate but within our home, on the ground floor, with a kitchenette (electic skillet but no stove). Outside shared hot tub on property, gas fireplace, and queen feather bedding. Close to town, XC skiing, golf course, refr./micro, sleeper sofa, TV/DVD/Cable, private full bathroom, and wireless internet. Sleeps 2 adults plus small children, comfortably. The $135 does not include City and Counnty taxes; but there is no cleaning fee. Two adults maximum, small children welcome. Two night minimum for weekends and December, please, unless your request is close to your date of arrival. Our checkout time is 11:00 a.m. We are located about one mile from downtown, or a 20 minute easy walk. Our home is next to the public golf course. Just up the street is a lovely restuarant "JJ Hills," the renowned "Heidelburger," and an elegant "Alpine Spa." Much to see and do in Leavenworth, the Bavarian Village of Washington. Visit unique stores, enjoy fine dining, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, rafting, skiing, fishing, and golfing all just minutes away. Leavenworth Summer Theater and Icicle Creek Center for the Arts are close by for wonderful and artistic/cultural events. Check out these websites as well as the Chamber of Commerce for more details. Breakfast is on your own so you can sleep in! A brief note, because we only have one suite, we hold our breaths and prefer TWO NIGHT weekend reservations. We have found that a two night booking is often lost if we reserve for only one weekend evening. Sometimes we will do only one evening, especially if the date of arrival is very very close. Apologies. Also, due to Covid health and safety protocols we ask that there be no unregistered guests in our suite. We strive to keep a safe and healthy suite space for travelers and our family upstairs. Your suite is within the building, not a separate additional dwelling unit. The Alpen Chalet Too! has it's own private entrance and patio outside your door as well as a shared outdoor hot tub. When you are a guest here you have one dedicated parking space as well. There is a side yard which is accessible to guests during daytime and early evenings. We live upstairs and are available for your questions or concerns. Nevertheless, there will be times we will not be present so we will leave our contact information. Your bedroom window has a lovely view of Wedge Mountain, and in the quiet night you can hear the rushing waters of the Wenatchee River located across the street. The suite is located within walking distance of downtown for walkers ( a 20 minute walk) or a 5 minute drive. This is a beautiful green space that is also a residential neighborhood, on the 17th tee of the golf course, and of course a quick walk to the golf course restaurant. Great for golfers in summer, and cross country skiers in winter. Rock climbing sites are just minutes away. The hot tub is a plus after a day of golf, skiing, hiking or river rafting. The Alpen Chalet Too! Is accessible by car, with a free parking space provided within steps to your door. By train from Seattle or Spokane: many people use the local Taxi Service from the train Station on North Road, but it is also possible to have a breathtaking walk through town, depending on weather conditions and how much luggage you are carrying. By Bus: the bus stop is 1/4 mile from our suite on Icicle Road. A quick and easy walk for those who enjoy walking. Once here it is possible to easily bike about town with ease in mild weather months. We are a non-smoking home and we consider that important for future guests as well as the outside fire hazard here during the summer. A smoking area is out in front of the driveway by the Alpen Chalet sign. If there is evidence (smoke smell, cigarette butts, etc.) of smoking, a fine up to $200 will be assessed. Another word of respectful advice, if actions by our guests result the hot tub to needing to be drained and cleaned, a fee up to $100 will be assessed.
