This refurbished apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a beautiful early 20th Century building, merging modern comfort with classical elements of Lisbon architecture (tiles, stone balcony, ceiling medallions, etc). In the heart of the historical Alfama, it´s only a few minutes walk from São Jorge Castle (100m), Sé Cathedral (300m) and other historical city center sites. The southward exposure will allow you to soak up the sun and enjoy a stunning view overlooking the Tejo river. The space This apartment has a unique style, combing typical elements of Lisbon architecture, such as the tile-covered walls of the kitchen, a stone chimney above the stove, ceiling medallions in the living room and bedrooms, and a stone balcony facing Tejo River. It features a Twin room, a Double room with a balcony, a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, electric stove, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and electric whisker), a large living room with sofa bed, a bathroom with bath and a terrace (so you can enjoy a relaxing meal outside on a sunny day). The living room has a large flatscreen TV and a selection of books in order to relax. And of course, access to Wifi connection is provided. There is also a Safe Box available in the apartment, so you can store your important documents or belongings. If you are traveling with a baby, please let us know in advance as we can provide a baby cot, high chair and a baby changing room, free of charge. We do have as well other baby items such as plates, juice/water sucking cups and other toys. If you stay more than 4 days a cleaning, change of bed sheets and towels will be provided. Guest access You will have access to the whole apartment and common staircase. Other things to note The apartment is located in the old historical city center of Lisbon, on the quiet Largo do Contador Mor square, facing Santa Luzia viewpoint and river Tejo. Parking is restricted in front of the building, as it´s located in a protected historical area. There is, however, a public underground parking, located 150m away (Largo das Portas do Sol). There are plenty of typical restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood, as well as stunning churches, museums and viewpoints. The closest cornershop is 50m from the building. We are regulated by the same laws applied to Hotels/Tourism in Portugal and therefore SEF (Foreigners and Borders Service) legally requires information, in the same way, that all hotels will require a passport or any other form of identification, the identification number, date of birth and nationality of each guest. Since we don't have reception and we don't have members present at the property, we have a secure online check-in system that you must complete before your arrival. It is also important that you know that our street is closed to drivers who do not have authorization to access the area. Only taxis and residents can enter by car (UBERS are not allowed to enter). To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, smoking is not allowed inside the accommodation. A 150€ fine may be applied in case of non-compliance. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Lisbon!
