Charming apartment in historic estate near Baden-Baden

Located in the manor house of the Winklerhof, the apartment offers a fantastic view over horse paddocks and orchards to the northern Black Forest. Lots of light, stylish furnishings and well-thought-out amenities will make you feel right at home. Outside, a small magical garden invites you to have breakfast in the sun or to look at the starry sky with a glass of wine. Also an ideal base for trips to Baden-Baden, Strasbourg and the Murg Valley! The space The apartment is accessible through the courtyard almost at ground level (2x2 flat steps). Since the house was built on the edge of a hilltop, the view from the apartment is still like from the second floor - undisturbed and with a wonderful view. A small hallway leads to the spacious living/dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, stove, microwave/oven, coffee maker, kettle, dishes, cutlery and some other useful things - if you are missing something, just let me know. A basic supply of food (vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, etc.) is also available. A flat-screen TV with integrated DVD player is stowed in the cabinet and can be installed in a few simple steps. The bedroom has a French double bed (2.00 m x 1.40 m) with a continuous mattress and a selection of pillows and blankets, a three-door wardrobe and a "clothes ladder." The bedroom window - like all windows in the apartment - can be darkened not only with a curtain/blind, but also with roller shutters. The bathroom is also accessible via the small hallway. A hairdryer, shampoo/shower gel, soap and a basic supply of toilet paper are provided. The bedroom and one of the living room windows are equipped with fly screens, so you can keep them open during the warm seasons without getting unwelcome visitors from outside. The powerful central heating ensures pleasant temperatures in winter, and in summer the old walls keep the house pleasantly cool for quite a long time. The apartment has a meadow with various fruit and nut trees as well as a fireplace, which can be reached with a short walk (or in 2 minutes by car). But otherwise there are countless opportunities in the immediate vicinity of the Winklerhof to picnic outdoors, etc. - on the meadows, the benches at the edge of the forest, the barbecue area at the old quarry on Eichelberg, ... Guest access For your stay, in addition to the apartment, the garden and the orchard, the "Milchhäusel" is also available, a small lockable room at the old horse stable, in which, for example, bicycles can be stored. Other things to note A women's and a men's mountain bike can be rented for a flat rate of €10 each (regardless of the length of stay). For stays of seven nights or more, you are welcome to share the washing machine, including detergent and dryer, in the basement. And for guests who want to explore the thermal baths in Bad Rotenfels, Baden-Baden, etc., two fluffy bathrobes are included for stays of 7 nights or more (from October to March, 3 nights or more). Last but not least: On the grounds of the farm there is the Winkler Hofstüble, a small, cozy restaurant with a large sun terrace. Here you can enjoy Ukrainian and German specialties - or simply a cool drink outdoors.
