Beautiful house with pool set in private grounds.

COMBEL is one of the gites offered by Hibou Grange. A beautiful, spacious single story french house. Set in private grounds with a pool, it’s the perfect place to relax. Situated between the Dordogne and Lot rivers, in the Causse natural park. The town of Cahors and the stunning villages of Rocamadour and St Circ lapopie are a short drive away. The area is rich in history and wildlife. Nearby are many sporting activities to suit every taste and plenty of things to do and see for all the family. The space There is a very well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable lounge and dining area with books, games, CD player and television (both French and English). The bathroom has a jet massage shower and twin hand basins, there is a separate toilet. There is one double bedded room, the other bedroom offers you a choice of two full size single beds or a super king size bed, both rooms have good size fitted wardrobes. There is also the option of a single size 'pull-out bed' for one extra person/child, this can be in bedroom 2 or put in the lounge at night. This can be added if requested in advance. We also have a crib for a baby, but please note I do not supply the bed linen for this. All bed linen and towels (except pool towels) are included in the price. There is a well-equipped kitchen, dining room and living room where you will find a selection of books, games, a TV (in French or English depending on your preference) and a CD player. In the bathroom there is a massage shower, two sinks, and then a separate toilet. The villa has two bedrooms: a double bedroom and one that gives you the choice between a large double bed and two single beds. There is also the option of a sofa bed for one person, in bedroom 2 or in the living room during the night, please ask in advance. Also a bed for a baby but I do not provide bedding for that. All bed linens and towels (except pool towels) are included in the price. Both bedrooms are equipped with large built-in closets. If you wish, there is also another sofa bed and baby bed. Guest access The house sits in private grounds of about .6 hectares and guests have access to the whole area. There is plenty of parking space and cars can be backed up to the door for easy unloading. There is a terraced and graveled area behind the villa which has a shady gazebo, automatic sunshade and bbq. This area is fenced and has lockable gates so is ideal for smaller children. The pool cover helps to heat the water and acts as a security cover, this rolls back out of the way but you can swim under the cover should you wish at cooler time of the year. There are wooded and meadow areas, we have decided to leave some to wildlife, other areas are mown and here you will find a hammock under the trees. In a small wooded area there is a large trampoline, swings, a slide and a basket ball net for the enjoyment of your children, the picnic bench under the trees means parents can chill in the shade while watching their children play. The villa sits in 0.6 hectares of green space and guests have access to all the space. The terrace behind the villa is equipped with a gazebo, automatic canopy and barbecue. The space is surrounded by a lockable fence and gates, ideal for young children. The pool shelter heats the water but also acts as a safety blanket: you can open it to free up the space around the pool or leave it closed when it's colder. The villa is located in a forested area where you will find a small space for picnics and a hammock under the trees. In a small wooded area, there are swings, a slide and a large trampoline. Labastide Murat is about 6.5 km away and has a good supermarket, fuel station, an excellent bakery, butcher, bar, restaurant and tourist information. There is also a small but colorful market every second Monday. There is also a medical center and pharmacy. We do not charge a cleaning fee. We ask guests to leave the property as they found it. Winter rate from October to March, inclusive of heating. There is a wood-burning fireplace which can be used as an extra, wood charged at 8 euros a day to be paid locally. IMPORTANT! The small town of Labastide-Murat is about 6.5 km from the house where you will find a good supermarket, a gas station, a good bakery, a butcher shop, a restaurant and a tourist office. There is also a nice little market in the city center every other Monday. A medical practice and pharmacy are also available if you need them. We do not charge a cleaning fee. We ask guests to leave the property as they found it. If you want to pay extra for a cleaning service at the end of your stay, we can arrange this for you, with prior notification.
