Wood House

Spectacularly situated in the beautiful Buttermere valley, Wood House is a guest house with three en suite bedrooms (a double and two twin rooms) and a separate cottage which sleeps six. Room 3 has an en suite bath and tea/coffee making facilities. A cooked breakfast is included in the tariff. The lake is a one minute walk away, where there is a delightful pebble beach and a breathtaking view. Please see our other listings on Airbnb for the double room, another twin room and the cottage. The space Wood House is a fine National Trust Lakeland home, set within two acres of grounds. The house lies between Buttermere and Crummock Water lakes and has its own private access path to Crummock Water. Buttermere village is a ten minute walk away, where there are two pubs, a café and an ice cream shop. There is a range of wonderful activities on the doorstep: sensational mountain walks, canoeing on the lake, mountain biking and a via ferrata. Wood House also provides an adventure activity guiding service. We are also able to provide evening meals and packed lunches. Guest access The house has a residential area for the owners and guest bedrooms are accessed from a separate staircase. Guests have access to the drawing room and the dining room but not the kitchen. Other things to note We are unable to accommodate children under 16 in Wood House.
