African Skies Rondavel Dwelling
Description
African Skies is a unique dwelling (Rondawel/Turret) nestled in amongst the trees overlooking Island Lake and the surrounding hills. We are situated on the border of the Wilderness National Park which makes the area a true natures paradise. We hosts a large species of bird life including the Knysna Loerie who can often be spotted in our garden plus the cry of the fish Eagle can be heard as he soars over the Lake. Our accommodation is self catering. The space African Skies is a Rondawel/turret set amongst the trees with a lovely view of the Lake and surrounding hills. We are a self catering establishmet offering a room with private deck & bathroom, galley kitchen & BQ braai area Guest access The living space consist of the room, private ensuite (Toilet, shower & wash hand basin) private wooden deck off the bedroom, equipped galley kitchen, the garden, back garden with Pizza & BBQ area. The accommodation is more suited to the energetic & young at heart. The drive way is fairly steep with parking under the trees. There is a fairly gentle slope with ten widely spaced stairs leading to a further 3 steps leading on to a paved area then 6 steps to access the accommodation Garden pathways are narrow and uneven in places. There is a parking space for 1 car. The accommodation is not suitable for people with mobility problems. The owners of African Skies sleep in the room above the guest accommodation & use a common area to access their room for retiring at night & coming down in the morning. Appart from this the host does not enter the guest area During your stay As we have lived here for many years we will happily assist guest with any questions they may have about the environment. We also have books available on the area Other things to note It is a nature lovers paradise.
