Nine Steps is an architect designed home and luxury interpretation of the Australian shed. Our 29 acre property is your opportunity to enjoy a rural retreat in comfort and style. The space Nine Steps is the closest accommodation to spectacular Mount Buffalo and our beautiful native bushland property borders the Mount Buffalo National Park. You can gaze out at native bushland from every window and enjoy watching the ever changing face of Mount Buffalo. You may even have the pleasure of seeing Eurobin Falls from the house. Eurobin Creek runs along our property and we'll share with you the directions to a secret local swimming hole a few minutes walk from the house. With no wifi or tv reception - Nine Steps is a rare opportunity to really switch off and reconnect with nature and with family, friends and loved ones. There are two TVs and lots of DVDs for movie night and quiet time though! Very good Telstra 4G reception. Nine Steps has everything you need for your stay with linen, towels and toiletries provided, heating and cooling, fully equipped kitchen (including a Nespresso machine), easy parking and secure bike storage. Room configuration: • Bedroom 1 - queen bed, deck & ensuite • Bedroom 2 - queen bed, deck & door into main bathroom • Bedroom 3 - two single beds The House • Nine Steps is a three bedroom, two bathroom home with a large open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area, as well as a smaller second lounge. • The house is designed so guests are sheltered from the weather, while still feeling a part of the environment. Large picture windows are a key feature of the house, along with the many covered decks. • The great room has a large wood burner, air-conditioning and three ceiling fans, as well as opening windows to catch the breeze and cooler evening air. • The fully equipped cooks kitchen is set around an island bench with bar stools - perfect whether you're preparing breakfast or enjoying some local cheese and wine. The Environment • Nine Steps was built to be environmentally friendly with a 6 star energy rating. We're also members of our local Landcare Group and the Australian Conservation Foundation. • Nine Steps is self-sufficient for water - collecting rain water and spring water which is then treated via sediment and UV filters. • If you wander around the property you will see many wombat burrows and hear many birds (lots of kookaburras!). Signature Experiences • Private yoga class: The large 'great room' is perfect for a private yoga class, or experience a beautiful yoga practice outside in the 29 acre grounds of Nine Steps. Our yoga teacher can cater for all levels and will structure a practice to suit your needs. • Alpine Concierge Services: To make your stay at Nine Steps even more memorable, imagine arriving to a hamper of local produce for breakfast or dinner. Or perhaps you need help organising a romantic occasion, or special event. Alpine Concierge Services can create a bespoke experience just for you. • Weddings: We would love to host your wedding! Our approach is to charge for the house accommodation and a per head charge for guests. We leave the organisation of catering, seating, decorating, portaloos, etc to you so you have complete control over your special day. Other things to note Our standard pricing is based on 2 guests sharing one room. If the booking is for 2 people in separate rooms there will be an additional $60 fee applied to the booking.
